Deuteronomy 12:1-32

1 These are the statutes and the ordinances which you* will observe to do in the land which Jehovah, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess it all the days that you* live upon the earth. 2 You* will surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you* will dispossess served their gods, upon the high mountains and upon the hills and under every green tree. 3 And you* will break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and burn their Asherim with fire. And you* will hew down the graven images of their gods and you* will destroy their name out of that place.
4 You* will not do so to Jehovah your* God. 5 But to the place which Jehovah your* God will choose out of all your* tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation you* will seek and there you will come. 6 And there you* will bring your* burnt offerings and your* sacrifices and your* tithes and the heave offering of your* hand and your* vows and your* free-will offerings and the first-offspring of your* herd and of your* flock. 7 And there you* will eat before Jehovah your* God and you* will rejoice in all that you* put your* hand to, you* and your* households, in which Jehovah your God has blessed you.
8 You* will not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes. 9 For you* are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Jehovah your God gives you.
10 But when you* go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which Jehovah your* God causes you* to inherit and he gives you* rest from all your* enemies all around, so that you* dwell in safety, 11 then it will happen that to the place which Jehovah your* God will choose to cause his name to dwell there, there you* will bring all that I command you*: your* burnt offerings and your* sacrifices, your* tithes and the heave offering of your* hand and all your* choice vows which you* vow to Jehovah.
12 And you* will rejoice before Jehovah your* God, you* and your* sons and your* daughters and your* men-servants and your* maid-servants and the Levite who is within your* gates–inasmuch as he has no portion nor inheritance with you*.
13 Take heed to yourself that you offer not your burnt offerings in every place that you see, 14 but in the place which Jehovah will choose in one of your tribes. There you will offer your burnt offerings and there you will do all that I command you.
15 Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of Jehovah your God which he has given you, the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle and as of the male-deer.
16 Only you* will not eat the blood. You will pour it out upon the ground as water.
17 You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the first-offspring of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your free-will offerings, nor the heave offering of your hand. 18 But you will eat them before Jehovah your God in the place which Jehovah your God will choose, you and your son and your daughter and your man-servant and your maid-servant and the Levite who is within your gates. And you will rejoice before Jehovah your God in all that you put your hand to. 19 Take heed to yourself that you not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.
20 When Jehovah your God will enlarge your border, as he has promised you and you will say, I will eat flesh, because your soul desires to eat flesh, you may eat flesh, after all the desire of your soul. 21 If the place which Jehovah your God will choose, to put his name there, be too far from you, then you will kill of your herd and of your flock, which Jehovah has given you, as I have commanded you and you may eat within your gates, according to all the desire of your soul. 22 Even as the gazelle and as the male-deer is eaten, so you will eat of it. The unclean and the clean may eat of it alike.
23 Only be sure that you not eat the blood. For the blood is the life and you will not eat the life with the flesh. 24 You will not eat it. You will pour it out upon the ground as water. 25 You will not eat it, that it may go well with you and with your sons after you, when you will do what is right in the eyes of Jehovah.
26 Only your holy things which you have and your vows, you will take and go to the place which Jehovah will choose. 27 And you will offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of Jehovah your God and the blood of your sacrifices will be poured out upon the altar of Jehovah your God and you will eat the flesh.
28 Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and with your sons after you everlasting, when you do what is good and right in the eyes of Jehovah your God.
29 When Jehovah your God will cut off the nations from before you, where you go in to dispossess them and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, How do these nations serve their gods? Even so I will do likewise.
31 You will not do so to Jehovah your God. For every abomination to Jehovah, which he hates, they have done to their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
32 Whatever thing I command you*, that will you* observe to do. You will not add to it, nor diminish from it.

Matthew 5:47

47 And if you only greet your friends, what are you doing more-than others? Are not even the tax collectors doing so?

Leviticus 18:19-23

19 And you will not approach to a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness. 20 And you will not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife, to defile yourself with her.
21 And you will not give any of your seed to make them pass through the fire to Molech, neither will you profane the name of your God. I am Jehovah.
22 You will not lie with mankind, as with womankind. It is abomination.
23 And you will not lie with any beast to defile yourself with it, nor will any woman stand before a beast, to lie down with it. It is a perversion.

2 Kings 23:7

7 And he broke down the houses of the sodomites that were in the house of Jehovah where the women wove hangings for the Asherah.

Acts 17:16-23

16 Now while Paul is waiting for them in Athens, the spirit was being irritated in him, while viewing the idol ridden city. 17 Therefore indeed, he was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the pious ones, and in the marketplace every day with those who chanced upon him. 18 Now also some of the Epicureans and Stoic philosophers were encountering him and some were saying, Whatever does this babbler wish to say?
Some said, He seems to be a proclaimer of strange demons, because he is proclaiming the good-news of Jesus and the resurrection.
19 And they grabbed him and led him to the Areopagus, saying, Are we able to know what this new teaching is, which is spoken by you? 20 For you are bringing some surprising things to our ears. Therefore, we plan to know what these things might wish to be. 21 (Now all from Athens and the inhabiting strangers had leisure time for nothing other than to tell and to hear something new.)
22 Now Paul stood in the middle of the Areopagus and was saying, Men of Athens, I view that you are like religious according to all things. 23 For while going through the city and reviewing your worshiped objects, I also found an altar in which had been written, To An Unknown God. Therefore I am proclaiming to you, who are ignorant, this one to whom you are devout.

Jeremiah 10:1-5

1 Hear the word which Jehovah speaks to you*, O house of Israel. 2 Jehovah says thus: Learn not the way of the nations and do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the nations are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are vanity.
For a man cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold. They fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it not move. 5 They are like a palm tree, of turned work and do not speak. They must be carried, because they cannot go. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, nor is it in them to do good.

2 Thessalonians 2:9

9 even he, whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary in every power and in signs and in lying wonders,

Leviticus 26:1-46

1 You* will make for you* no idols. Neither will you* rear up for you* a graven image, or a pillar. Neither will you* place any figured stone in your* land, to bow down to it. For I am Jehovah your* God.
2 You* will keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary. I am Jehovah.
3 If you* walk in my statutes and keep my commandments and do them, 4 then I will give your* rains in their season and the land will yield its increase and the trees of the field will yield their fruit. 5 And your* threshing will reach to the vintage and the vintage will reach to the sowing time and you* will eat your* bread to the full and dwell in your* land safely.
6 And I will give peace in the land and you* will lie down and none will make you* afraid. And I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, nor will the sword go through your* land. 7 And you* will chase your* enemies and they will fall before you* by the sword. 8 And five of you* will chase a hundred and a hundred of you* will chase ten thousand and your* enemies will fall before you* by the sword.
9 And I will have respect to you* and make you* fruitful and multiply you* and will establish my covenant with you*. 10 And you* will eat old storage long kept and you* will bring forth the old because of the new.
11 And I will set my tabernacle among you* and my soul will not abhor you*. 12 And I will walk among you* and will be your* God and you* will be my people. 13 I am Jehovah your* God, who brought you* forth out of the land of Egypt, that you* should not be their bondmen. And I have broken the bars of your* yoke and made you* go upright.
14 But if you* will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments, 15 and if you* will reject my statutes and if your* soul abhors my ordinances, so that you* will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, 16 I also will do this to you*: I will appoint terror over you*, even consumption and fever, that will consume the eyes and make the soul to pine away. And you* will sow your* seed in vain, for your* enemies will eat it. 17 And I will set my face against you* and you* will be struck before your* enemies. Those who hate you* will rule over you* and you* will flee when no man pursues you*.
18 And if for these things you* will not yet listen to me, then I will discipline you* seven times more for your* sins. 19 And I will break the pride of your* power. And I will make your* sky as iron and your* earth as brass, 20 and your* strength will be spent in vain, for your* land will not yield its increase, nor will the trees of the land yield their fruit.
21 And if you* walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you* according to your* sins. 22 And I will send the beast of the field among you*, which will rob you* of your* sons and destroy your* cattle and make you* few in number and your* ways will become desolate.
23 And if by these things you* will not be reformed to me, but will walk contrary to me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you* and I will kill* you*, even I, seven times for your* sins. 25 And I will bring a sword upon you* that will execute the vengeance of the covenant and you* will be gathered together within your* cities. And I will send the pestilence among you* and you* will be delivered into the hand of the enemy. 26 When I break your* staff of bread, ten women will bake your* bread in one oven and they will deliver your* bread again by weight and you* will eat and not be satisfied.
27 And if for all this you* will not listen to me, but walk contrary to me, 28 then I will walk contrary to you* in wrath and I also will discipline you* seven times for your* sins. 29 And you* will eat the flesh of your* sons and the flesh of your* daughters you* will eat. 30 And I will destroy your* high places and cut down your* sun-images and cast your* dead bodies upon the bodies of your* idols and my soul will abhor you*. 31 And I will make your* cities a waste and will bring your* sanctuaries to desolation and I will not smell the savor of your* sweet odors. 32 And I will bring the land into desolation and your* enemies who dwell in it will be astonished at it.
33 And I will scatter you* among the nations and I will draw out the sword after you* and your* land will be a desolation and your* cities will be a waste. 34 Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths, as long as it lies desolate and you* are in your* enemies' land, even then will the land rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 As long as it lies desolate it will have rest, even the rest which it had not in your* Sabbaths, when you* dwelt upon it.
36 And as for those who are left of you*, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf will chase them and they will flee as a man flees from the sword and they will fall when no man pursues. 37 And they will stumble one upon another, as it were before the sword, when no man pursues. And you* will have no power to stand before your* enemies. 38 And you* will perish among the nations and the land of your* enemies will eat you* up. 39 And those who are left of you* will pine away in their iniquity in your* enemies' lands and also in the iniquities of their fathers they will pine away with them.
40 And they will confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me and also that, because they walked contrary to me, 41 I also walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity, 42 then I will remember my covenant with Jacob and also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember and I will remember the land. 43 The land also will be left by them and will enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. And they will accept of the punishment of their iniquity, because, even because they rejected my ordinances and their soul loathed my statutes.
44 And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God, 45 but for their sakes I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Jehovah.
46 These are the statutes and ordinances and laws, which Jehovah made between him and the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai by Moses.

Ezekiel 13:18

18 And say, The lord Jehovah says thus: Woe to the women who sew pillows upon all elbows and make headdresses for the head of every stature to hunt souls!
Will you* hunt the souls of my people and save souls alive for yourselves?

Acts 8:9-13

9 But there was a certain man, Simon by name, who was formerly in the city practicing-magic and astonishing the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was someone great. 10 To whom they were taking-heed, from the little to the great, saying, This one is the power of God, the Great. 11 Now they were taking-heed to him because he had astonished them with his magic for a considerable time. 12 But when they believed Philip proclaiming the good-news concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were being immersed, both men and women. 13 Now Simon himself also believed and was immersed, and was persevering with Philip. And viewing signs and great miracles which were happening, he was being astonished.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not be inheriting the kingdom of God? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor pedophiles, nor homosexuals, 10 nor the greedy ones, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will be inheriting the kingdom of God. 11 And some of you were these, but you were fully-washed, but you were made holy, but you were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12

9 When you have come into the land, which Jehovah your God gives you, you will not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.
10 There will not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, a psychic, he who practices soothsaying, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, 11 or a charmer, or a medium, or a spiritist, or a necromancer. 12 For whoever does these things is an abomination to Jehovah. And because of these abominations Jehovah your God drives them out from before you.

Exodus 20:1-26

1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
2 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 You will have no other gods before me.
4 You will not make to you a graven image, nor any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You will not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them, because I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 You will not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain, because Jehovah will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you will labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Jehovah your God. You will not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your man-servant, nor your maid-servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates, 11 for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them and rested the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. 12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
13 You will not murder.
14 You will not commit adultery.
15 You will not steal.
16 You will not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You will not desire your neighbor's house. You will not desire your neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.
18 And all the people perceived the thunderings and the lightnings and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking. And when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.
19 And they said to Moses, Speak with us and we will hear, but do not let God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said to the people, Do not fear, because God has come to prove you* and that his fear may be before you*, that you* not sin. 21 And the people stood afar off and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.
22 And Jehovah said to Moses, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, You* yourselves have seen that I have talked with you* from heaven. 23 You* will not make other gods with me; gods of silver, or gods of gold, you* will not make to you*.
24 An altar of earth you will make to me and will sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.
25 And if you make to me an altar of stone, you will not build it of hewn stones, because if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted it.
26 Neither will you go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness is not uncovered on it.
