²⁷ I prayed for this child and Jehovah has given me my petition which I asked of him. ²⁸ Therefore also I have granted him to Jehovah; as long as he lives he is granted to Jehovah. And he worshiped Jehovah there.

¹¹ And she vowed a vow and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your handmaid and remember me and not forget your handmaid, but will give to your handmaid a male-child, then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life and there will no razor come upon his head.

⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you will go. I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

²² And when the days of their cleansing according to the Law of Moses were fulfilled, they led him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord

¹⁶ Do you not know that you are a temple of God and the Spirit of God is dwelling in you? ¹⁷ If anyone corrupts the temple of God, God will have corruption for this one; for the temple of God is holy, which you are.

¹² Here is the endurance of the holy-ones, those who are keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

²⁸ Notwithstanding, nothing set apart, that a man will set apart to Jehovah of all that he has, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, will be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is most holy to Jehovah.

²⁷ And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries and with harps. ²⁸ And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain all around Jerusalem and from the villages of the Netophathites, ²⁹ also from Beth-gilgal and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had built for them villages all around Jerusalem. ³⁰ And the priests and the Levites purified themselves and they purified the people and the gates and the wall. ³¹ Then I brought up the rulers of Judah upon the wall and appointed two great companies that gave thanks and went in procession, one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the manure gate, ³² and after them went Hoshaiah and half of the rulers of Judah, ³³ and Azariah, Ezra and Meshullam, ³⁴ Judah and Benjamin and Shemaiah and Jeremiah, ³⁵ and certain of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph, ³⁶ and his brothers, Shemaiah and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God and Ezra the scribe was ahead of them.
³⁷ And they went up by the fountain gate and straight before them, by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water gate eastward.
³⁸ And the other company of those who gave thanks went to meet them and I after them, with the half of the people, upon the wall, above the tower of the furnaces, even to the broad wall, ³⁹ and above the gate of Ephraim and by the old gate and by the fish gate and the tower of Hananel and the Tower of Hundred, even to the sheep gate. And they stood still in the gate of the guard.
⁴⁰ So stood the two companies of those who gave thanks in the house of God and I and the half of the rulers with me, ⁴¹ and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah and Hananiah, with trumpets, ⁴² and Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
⁴³ And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy. And the women also and the children rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

² My brethren, deem it with all joy, whenever you fall into various temptations, ³ knowing that the proving of your faith is working out endurance. ⁴ But let endurance have its completed work, in order that you may be complete and whole, deficient in nothing.

¹ The man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers is fortunate, ² because his delight is in the law of Jehovah and on his law he meditates day and night.
³ And he will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. And whatever he does will prosper.
⁴ The wicked are not so, because they are like the chaff which the wind drives away. ⁵ Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
⁶ Because Jehovah knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

¹³ Hence when you have girded up the loins of your mind, while being sober, hope completely upon the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

¹ Therefore brethren, I am encouraging you through the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your logical divine service. ² And not to fashion yourselves to this age, but be transfigured by the renewal of your mind, that you may be proving in you what is the will of God: the good and acceptable and mature.

¹⁷ And everything, anything, whatever you do in word or in work, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving-thanks to the God and Father through him.
