Bible verses about "debtors" | MLV

Matthew 18:23-33

23 Because of this, the kingdom of the heavens has been similar to a certain king who wished to settle the account with his bondservants. 24 Now having begun to settle the account, one man was brought to him, a debtor of ten-thousand silver talants . 25 But he did not have anything to repay him with, so his lord commanded him and his wife and children and all things, as many things as he was holding, to be sold and the money to be repaid to him.
26 Therefore the bondservant falling down, was worshiping him, saying, Lord, have patience upon me, and I will be repaying all of it to you. 27 But the lord of that bondservant, having compassion on him, released him and forgave him the loan.
28 But that bondservant went out and found one of his fellow bondservants who owed him a hundred denarii, and he took-hold of him, and was choking him, saying, Repay if you are owing me anything.
29 Therefore his fellow bondservant, falling down at his feet, was pleading with him, saying, Have patience upon me and I will be repaying you. 30 But he did not wish to, but went and cast him into prison, until he should repay what is owed. 31 But his fellow bondservants, having seen the things which had happened, were extremely sorrowful. And they came to their own lord, and they told all the things which had happened.
32 Then his lord called him, and says to him, You evil bondservant, I forgave you all that debt, since you pleaded with me. 33 It was essential for you to have shown-mercy also on your fellow bondservant, like I also had shown-mercy to you.

Psalms 37:21

21 The wicked man borrows and pays not again, but the righteous man deals graciously and gives.

Matthew 6:9-13

9 Therefore pray thus: our Father, the one in the heavens, let your name be made holy. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will happen as in heaven, also upon the earth. 11 Give our needful bread to us today. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. 13 And do not bring us into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one, because yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Exodus 20:1-17

1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
2 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 You will have no other gods before me.
4 You will not make to you a graven image, nor any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You will not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them, because I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 You will not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain, because Jehovah will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you will labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Jehovah your God. You will not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your man-servant, nor your maid-servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates, 11 for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them and rested the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. 12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
13 You will not murder.
14 You will not commit adultery.
15 You will not steal.
16 You will not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You will not desire your neighbor's house. You will not desire your neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.

Romans 13:1-14

1 Let every soul be subject to the authorities which are superior to him; for there is no authority if not by God, and the authorities which are, have been appointed by God. 2 So-then, the one who is resisting the authority is standing against the commandment of God, and those who are standing against it will be receiving judgment for themselves. 3 For rulers are not a fear to those of the good works, but to those of the evil works. And you do not wish to be afraid of the authority, do you? Do what is the good thing and you will have praise from it; 4 for he is a servant of God to you for what is the good thing. But if you practice what is the evil thing, be afraid; for he is not wearing the sword vainly; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to the one who is practicing the evil thing. 5 Hence, it is a necessity to be subject yourself to him, not only because of the wrath, but also because of the conscience. 6 For you are also paying taxes because of this; for they are ministers of God, persevering toward this same thing. 7 Therefore give to all, their dues: tribute to whom tribute; tax to whom tax; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.
8 Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another; for he who loves the other has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery; Do not murder; Do not steal; Do not covet, and if there is some other commandment in this word, it is summed up in the commandment : ‘You will love your neighbor like yourself.’ 10 Love works no evil to ward his neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.
11 Also this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour to be raised from sleep; for our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night has progressed, and the day has drawn near. Therefore, we should place away from ourselves the works of darkness, and should clothe ourselves with the weapons of light. 13 We should walk decently, like in the day; not in revelings and drunkenness, not in sleeping-around and in unbridled-lusts, not in strife and in jealousy. 14 But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not practice forethought for the lusts of the flesh.

Psalms 37:21-22

21 The wicked man borrows and pays not again, but the righteous man deals graciously and gives.
22 Because such as are blessed by him will inherit the land and those who are cursed by him will be cut off.

Matthew 5:26

26 Assuredly I am saying to you, You may never come out from there, until you should have repaid the last copper coin.
