⁷ So Satan went forth from the presence of Jehovah and killed* Job with severe boils from the sole of his foot to his crown.

¹⁶ Therefore confess your trespasses to one another, and pray on behalf of one another, that you may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man prevails; much in its working.

²¹ Now Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs and lay it for a plaster upon the boil and he will recover.

It is a leprous disease; it has broken out in the boil. ²¹ But if the priest looks on it, and behold, there are no white hairs in it and it is not deeper than the skin, but is dim, then the priest will shut him up seven days. ²² And if it spreads abroad in the skin, then the priest will pronounce him unclean; it is a disease. ²³ But if the bright spot stays in its place and has not spread, it is the scar of the boil and the priest will pronounce him clean.
