³³ Beware, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. ³⁴ It is like a man, going-abroad, having left his house and given authority to his bondservants, and his work to each one, and he commanded the doorkeeper in order that he should watch. ³⁵ Therefore watch; for you do not know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening or midnight or rooster’s crowing or in the morning; ³⁶ lest having come suddenly, he might find you sleeping. ³⁷ Now what I say to you, I say to all, Watch!

²⁵ And behold, a certain professor of the law stood up, testing him and saying, Teacher, by having done what, will I be inheriting everlasting life?
²⁶ But he said to him, What has been written in the law? How do you read it?
²⁷ But he answered and said, ‘You will love the Lord your God from your whole heart and from your whole soul and from your whole strength and from your whole mind, and your neighbor like yourself.’
²⁸ But he said to him, You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.

⁷ If you abide in me, and then my words should abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will happen for you.

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not be inheriting the kingdom of God? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor pedophiles, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor the greedy ones, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will be inheriting the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some of you were these, but you were fully-washed, but you were made holy, but you were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are apparent, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, unbridled-lusts, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousies, furies, selfish ambitions, dissensions, sects, ²¹ envies, murders, drunkenness, revelings and things similar to these things; which I am telling to you beforehand, also just-as I foretold to you, that those who are practicing such things–they will not be inheriting the kingdom of God!

⁸ If we should say that we have no sin, we are misleading ourselves and the truth is not in us.

⁴¹ Watch and pray, in order that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed eager, but the flesh is weak.

³⁶ Therefore, watch in every season, beseeching, in order that you might be deemed worthy to flee away from all the things which are about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.

²² to place away from yourselves the old man, according to your former conduct, the one who is corrupted according to the lusts of deception; ²³ and to be young again in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and to have clothed yourselves with the new man, who was created according to God, in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

⁴² Therefore watch, because you do not know in what hour your Lord is coming.

³⁸ Watch and pray, in order that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed eager, but the flesh is weak.

⁴⁴ Because of this, you also, become prepared, because the Son of Man is coming in an hour you do not think.

² For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord so comes like a thief in the night. ³ For whenever they are saying, Peace and security; then sudden utter-destruction stands by them, just-like the travail a woman has in her womb, and they may never flee away from it. ⁴ But brethren, you are not in darkness, in order that the day might overtake you like a thief. ⁵ You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness; ⁶ Therefore consequently, we should not sleep, like the rest also do, but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For those who are sleeping, sleep in the night, and those who are drunken, are drunken in the night. ⁸ But we, being of the day, should be sober; having clothed yourselves with the breastplate of faith and love, and a helmet-- the hope of salvation. ⁹ Because God appointed us not for wrath, but for the acquisition of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹³ Hence when you have girded up the loins of your mind, while being sober, hope completely upon the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

¹⁸ through all prayer and supplication praying in all seasons in the Spirit and watching in this same thing in all perseverance and supplication concerning all the holy-ones.

⁸ Be sober! Watch! Your opponent, the devil, like a roaring lion, is walking around seeking whom he may swallow,
