³² But I desire you to be without anxiety. The one who is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how to please the Lord. ³³ But the one who is married cares for the things of the world, how to please his wife. ³⁴ The wife and the virgin are different. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. ³⁵ And this I speak for your own profit, not that I may cast a snare on you, but for that which is right, and that you may attend on the Lord without distraction.

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication, ⁴ each one of you to know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor ⁵ (not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God),

¹³ If any man takes a wife and goes in to her, and hates her, ¹⁴ and makes shameful charges against her, and brings up an evil name on her, and says, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I did not find in her the tokens of virginity, ¹⁵ then shall the father of the girl, and her mother, take and bring tokens of the girl's virginity to the elders of the city in the gate. ¹⁶ And the girl's father shall say to the elders, I gave my daughter to this man to wife, and he hates her. ¹⁷ And, lo, he has made shameful charges against her, saying, I have not found in your daughter the tokens of virginity. And yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city. ¹⁸ And the elders of that city shall take that man and punish him. ¹⁹ And they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the girl, because he has brought an evil name on a virgin of Israel. And she shall be his wife. He may not put her away all his days. ²⁰ But if this thing is true and tokens of virginity are not found for the girl, ²¹ then they shall bring the girl out to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones so that she dies, because she has done foolishness in Israel to play the harlot in her father's house. So you shall put evil away from among you.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. ² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁴ These are those who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, as a firstfruit to God and to the Lamb.

⁶ But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. ⁷ For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife. ⁸ And the two of them shall be one flesh. So then they are no longer two, but one flesh.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you. But you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits fornication sins against his own body. ¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own, ²⁰ for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication, ⁴ each one of you to know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor ⁵ (not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God), ⁶ not to go beyond and defraud his brother in this matter (because the Lord is the avenger concerning all these, as we also have forewarned you and testified). ⁷ For God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification. ⁸ Therefore he who despises does not despise man, but God, who also has given us His Holy Spirit.

⁸ I say therefore to the unmarried and the widows, It is good for them if they remain even as I. ⁹ But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

²⁴ Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they shall be one flesh.

² But, because of the fornications, let each have his own wife, and let each have her own husband.
