⁸ And the people took provisions in their hand, and their ram's horns. And he sent away all the rest of Israel, each man to his tent, and kept those three hundred men. And the army of Midian was below him in the valley.

¹ Take heed that you do not do your merciful deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward with your Father in Heaven. ² Therefore when you do your merciful deeds, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. ³ But when you do merciful deeds, do not let your left hand know what your right hand does, ⁴ so that your merciful deeds may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret Himself shall reward you openly.

¹³ And the sixth angel sounded his trumpet. And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God,

¹ After these things I looked, and behold, a door was opened in Heaven. And the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show you what must occur after these things.

¹³ There shall not be a hand to touch it, but that he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether beast or man, it shall not live. When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.

¹ And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, ² Son of man, speak to the sons of your people, and say to them: When I bring the sword on it, on a land, and take one man from the people of the land, of their borders, and set him for their watchman; ³ if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people, ⁴ then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword does come and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head. ⁵ He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning. His blood shall be on himself. But he who takes warning shall deliver his soul. ⁶ But if the watchman sees the sword coming, and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned; if the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity. But I will require his blood at the watchman's hand.

⁵¹ Behold, I speak a mystery to you; we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed; ⁵² in a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet. For a trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed. ⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ But when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and when this mortal shall put on immortality, then will take place the word that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory. ⁵⁵ O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?"

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded. And there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ. And He will reign forever and ever.

¹³ But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you be not grieved, even as others who have no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. ¹⁵ For we say this to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not go before those who are asleep. ¹⁶ For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. ¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord. ¹⁸ Therefore comfort one another with these words.

⁵² in a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet. For a trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded. And there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ. And He will reign forever and ever. ¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders sitting before God on their thrones, fell on their faces and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying, We thank You, O Lord God Almighty, who are, and who was, and who is coming, because You took Your great power and reigned. ¹⁸ And the nations were full of wrath, and Your wrath came, and the time of the judging of the dead, and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to the ones fearing Your name, to the small and to the great, and to destroy those destroying the earth.
