¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

⁷ He stretches out the north over the empty place, and He hung the earth on nothing.

¹ Can you draw out the leviathan with a hook, or hold down his tongue with a cord? ² Can you put a reed rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw with a thorn? ³ Will he multiply pleas for help to you? Will he speak soft words to you? ⁴ Will he make a covenant with you? Will you take him for a servant for ever? ⁵ Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your maidens? ⁶ Shall your companions bargain over him? Shall they divide him among the merchants?

¹³ He who covers his sins shall not be blessed; but whoever confesses and leaves them shall have mercy.

²³ until a dart strikes through his liver; as a bird hastens to the snare and does not know that it is for his soul.

¹ In that day Jehovah with His great and fierce and strong sword shall punish the sea-monster, the darting serpent, the sea-monster, that twisting serpent; and He shall kill the monster in the sea.

¹⁸ For truly I say to you, Till the heaven and the earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any way pass from the Law until all is fulfilled.

¹² And immediately he arose and took up his cot and went out before all. So that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, We never saw it this way.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth.

⁴⁶ And they came to Jericho. And as He with His disciples and a large crowd went out of Jericho, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, was sitting by the side of the highway, begging. ⁴⁷ And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me! ⁴⁸ And many warned him that he should be quiet, but he cried a great deal more, Son of David, have mercy on me! ⁴⁹ And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying to him, Be of good comfort; rise up, He is calling you. ⁵⁰ And casting away his garment, he rose up and came to Jesus. ⁵¹ And answering Jesus said to him, What do you desire that I should do to you? The blind man said to Him, My Lord, that I may see again. ⁵² And Jesus said to him, Go, your faith has healed you. And instantly he saw again, and he followed Jesus in the way.

¹ Therefore when the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John ² (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), ³ He left Judea and went away again into Galilee. ⁴ And it was necessary for Him to go through Samaria, ⁵ Then He came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. ⁶ And Jacob's well was there. Jesus, therefore, being wearied with His journey, sat thus upon the well. It was about the sixth hour. ⁷ A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, Give me to drink. ⁸ (For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.) ⁹ Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, How do you, being a Jew, ask a drink of me, who am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews do not associate with Samaritans. ¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, Give Me to drink, you would have asked of Him, and He would have given you living water. ¹¹ The woman said to Him, Sir, you have no vessel, and the well is deep. From where then do you have that living water? ¹² Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, and his children and his cattle? ¹³ Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again, ¹⁴ but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. ¹⁵ The woman said to Him, Sir, give me this water, so that I may not thirst nor come here to draw. ¹⁶ Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband and come here. ¹⁷ The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said to her, You have well said, I have no husband ¹⁸ for you have had five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband. In that you spoke truly. ¹⁹ The woman said to Him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. ²⁰ Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. ²¹ Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you shall neither worship the Father in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem. ²² You worship what you do not know, we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. ²³ But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him. ²⁴ God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. ²⁵ The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming, who is called Christ. When He has come, He will tell us all things. ²⁶ Jesus said to her, I AM, the One speaking to you. ²⁷ And upon this His disciples came and marveled that He talked with the woman. However, no one said, What do You seek, or why do You talk with her? ²⁸ The woman then left her waterpot and went into the city and said to the men, ²⁹ Come see a man who told me all things that I ever did. Is this One not the Christ? ³⁰ And they went out of the city and came to Him.

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

⁸ And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: The First and the Last, who became dead and lived, says these things:

And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters. ³ And God said, Let there be light. And there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the first day. ⁶ And God said, Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. ⁷ And God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. ⁸ And God called the expanse, Heavens. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

¹⁸ You shall not allow a sorceress to live.

⁵ He sent messengers therefore to Balaam the son of Beor, to Pethor, by the river of the land of the sons of his people, to call him, saying, Behold! A people come out from Egypt. Behold! They cover the face of the earth, and they are staying across from me. ⁶ Therefore, I pray you, come now and curse this people for me. For they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall prevail so that we may strike them, and so that I may drive them out of the land. For I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed. ⁷ And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian pulled up stakes with the rewards of divination in their hand. And they came to Balaam and spoke the words of Balak to him. ⁸ And he said to them, Stay here tonight, and I will bring you word again, as Jehovah shall speak to me. And the leaders of Moab stayed with Balaam. ⁹ And God came to Balaam and said, What men are these with you? ¹⁰ And Balaam said to God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent to me, saying, ¹¹ Behold! A people has come out of Egypt which covers the face of the earth. Come now, curse them for me. Perhaps, I shall be able to overcome them and drive them out. ¹² And God said to Balaam, You shall not go with them. You shall not curse the people, for they are blessed. ¹³ And Balaam rose up in the morning and said to the leaders of Balak, Go into your land, for Jehovah refuses to let me go with you. ¹⁴ And the leaders of Moab rose up. And they went to Balak and said, Balaam refuses to come with us. ¹⁵ And Balak sent leaders again, more and more honorable than those. ¹⁶ And they came to Balaam and said to him, So says Balak the son of Zippor, Please let nothing hinder you from coming to me. ¹⁷ For I will raise you up to very great honor, and I will do whatever you say to me. Please come then and curse this people for me. ¹⁸ And Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of Jehovah my God, to do less or more. ¹⁹ But please now stay here also this night so that I may know what more Jehovah will say to me. ²⁰ And God came to Balaam at night and said to him, If the men come to call you, rise up, go with them. But still, the word which I shall say to you, that you shall do. ²¹ And Balaam rose up in the morning and saddled his ass, and went with the rulers of Moab. ²² And God's anger was kindled because he went. And the Angel of Jehovah stood in the way as an enemy against him. And he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants with him. ²³ And the ass saw the Angel of Jehovah standing in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand. And the ass turned aside out of the way and went into the field. And Balaam struck the ass, to turn her into the way. ²⁴ But the Angel of Jehovah stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall on this side, and a wall on that side. ²⁵ And when the ass saw the Angel of Jehovah, she pushed herself into the wall and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall. And he struck her again. ²⁶ And the Angel of Jehovah went further and stood in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. ²⁷ And when the ass saw the Angel of Jehovah, she fell down under Balaam. And Balaam's anger was kindled, and he struck the ass with a staff. ²⁸ And Jehovah opened the mouth of the ass, and she said to Balaam, What have I done to you, that you have beaten me these three times? ²⁹ And Balaam said to the ass, Because you have mocked me. I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would kill you. ³⁰ And the ass said to Balaam, Am I not your ass, upon which you have ridden ever since I was yours, to this day? Was I ever known to do so to you? And he said, No. ³¹ Then Jehovah opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the Angel of Jehovah standing in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand. And he bowed down his head, and fell on his face. ³² And the Angel of Jehovah said to him, Why have you beaten your ass these three times? Behold! I went out to be an enemy to you, because your way is perverse before Me. ³³ And the ass saw Me and turned from Me these three times. Unless she had turned from Me, surely now I also would have killed you and saved her alive. ³⁴ And Balaam said to the Angel of Jehovah, I have sinned. For I did not know that You stood in the way against me. Now therefore, if it displeases You, I will go back again. ³⁵ And the Angel of Jehovah said to Balaam, Go with the men. But only the word that I shall speak to you, that you shall speak. So Balaam went with the leaders of Balak. ³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam had come, he went out to meet him, to a city of Moab, in the border of Arnon, which is in the outermost border. ³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, Did I not earnestly send to you to call you? Why did you not come to me? Am I not able indeed to lift you up to honor? ³⁸ And Balaam said to Balak, Lo, I have come to you. Have I now any power at all to say anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that I shall speak.

¹⁷ Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

¹⁶ Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous one avails much.

¹³ For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ Did not even Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light? ¹⁵ Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

¹⁶ All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

¹² For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹ Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed? ² For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground; He has no form nor majesty that we should see Him, nor an appearance that we should desire Him. ³ He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not. ⁴ Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. ⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, each one to his own way; and Jehovah has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. ⁷ He was oppressed, and He was afflicted; yet He opened not His mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before its shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. ⁸ He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people He was stricken. ⁹ And He put His grave with the wicked, and with a rich one in His death; although He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. ¹⁰ Yet it pleased Jehovah to crush Him; to grieve Him; that He should put forth His soul as a guilt-offering. He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand. ¹¹ He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify for many; and He shall bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore I will divide to Him with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul to death; and He was counted among the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.

⁹ When you come to the land which Jehovah your God gives you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations. ¹⁰ There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, an observer of clouds, or a fortune-teller, or a witch, ¹¹ or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or one who calls to the dead. ¹² For all that do these things are an abomination to Jehovah. And because of these abominations Jehovah your God drives them out from before you. ¹³ You shall be perfect with Jehovah your God.

³¹ You shall not turn to mediums, and you shall not seek to spirit-knowers to be defiled by them. I am Jehovah your God.

⁷ For the Lord Jehovah will do nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
