²⁶ And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth.

¹⁸ And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.

²⁴ And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creepers, and its beasts of the earth after its kind; and it was so. ²⁵ And God made the beasts of the earth after its kind, and cattle after their kind, and all creepers upon the earth after their kind. And God saw that it was good.

¹ And Jehovah sent Nathan to David. And he came to him and said to him, There were two men in one city, one rich and one poor. ² The rich one had exceeding many flocks and herds, ³ but the poor one had nothing except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished up. And it grew up together with him and with his sons. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was to him like a daughter. ⁴ And there came a traveler to the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd to dress for the traveler that had come to him. But he took the poor man's lamb and dressed it for the man who had come to him. ⁵ And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man. And he said to Nathan, As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die. ⁶ And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

⁶ Also the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the cub lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

⁹ Jehovah is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works. ¹⁰ All Your works shall praise You, O Jehovah; and Your saints shall bless You.

⁶ Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O Jehovah, You keep man and beast.

²⁵ Who gives food to all flesh; for His mercy endures forever.

⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria? And not one of them is forgotten before God.

¹⁰ A righteous one understands the soul of his animal; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
