¹ Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful. ² But his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night. ³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of water that brings forth its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf shall not wither, and all which he does shall be blessed. ⁴ The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away. ⁵ Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. ⁶ For Jehovah knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

¹⁰ Receive my instruction and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. ¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

⁵ For He set up a testimony in Jacob, and ordered a Law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their sons; ⁶ so that the generation to come might know; sons shall be born, and they shall arise and tell their sons, ⁷ so that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His Commandments; ⁸ and might not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set their heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful with God.

³ Roll your works upon Jehovah, and your thoughts shall be established.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

¹⁶ They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. ¹⁷ Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth.

¹ Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ² Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), ³ so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. ⁴ And fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

⁵⁸ So that, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.

⁸ Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.

¹⁵ See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, ¹⁶ redeeming the time, because the days are evil. ¹⁷ Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

²⁰ O Timothy, guard the Deposit, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of falsely-named science,

⁸ Beware lest anyone rob you through philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.

¹⁴ But continue in the things that you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, ¹⁵ and that from a babe you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, ¹⁷ that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.

¹⁵ and that from a babe you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

⁵ But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

⁸ My son, hear the instruction of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother;

¹⁵ I do not pray for You to take them out of the world, but for You to keep them from the evil.

³³ Do not be deceived; evil companionships corrupt good habits.

⁵ And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. ⁶ And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart. ⁷ And you shall carefully teach them to your sons, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. ⁸ And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. ⁹ And you shall write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.

⁶ Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
