⁵ Jehovah is the portion of my inheritance, and of my cup; You shall uphold my lot. ⁶ The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yea, I have a beautiful inheritance. ⁷ I will bless Jehovah, who has given me wisdom; my heart also instructs me in the nights. ⁸ I have set Jehovah always before Me; because He is at My right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁷ The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise. ⁸ The Precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes. ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether, ¹⁰ more to be desired than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ¹¹ And Your servant is warned by them; in keeping them there is great reward.

¹⁴ He makes peace in your borders and fills you with the finest of the wheat.

¹⁹ It is better to dwell in the wilderness than with a quarrelsome and angry woman.

¹⁴ You shall beat him with the rod, and shall deliver his soul from hell.

²⁸ But I say to you that whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

⁴⁹ For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. ⁵⁰ Salt is good; but if the salt becomes saltless, with what will you season? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.

⁴² And whoever shall offend one of these little ones who believe in Me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea. ⁴³ And if your hand offends you, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed than to have two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched ⁴⁴ where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched. ⁴⁵ And if your foot offends you, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame than to have two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched ⁴⁶ where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched. ⁴⁷ And if your eye offends you, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes to be cast into hell fire ⁴⁸ where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched. ⁴⁹ For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. ⁵⁰ Salt is good; but if the salt becomes saltless, with what will you season? ⁸ Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.

² Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the Law of Christ.

¹ Therefore be followers of God, as dear children. ² And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor. ³ For let fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness not be once named among you, as becomes saints, ⁴ neither baseness, foolish talking, jesting, which are not becoming, but rather giving of thanks.

¹⁴ Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship does righteousness have with lawlessness? And what partnership does light have with darkness?

⁶ Let your speech be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

⁵ For each one will bear his own load.
