¹¹ that we may not be overreached by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

¹⁶ Behold! I send you forth as sheep amidst wolves. Be therefore prudent as the serpents, and harmless as the doves.

¹⁸ They shall handle serpents with safety. And if they drink poison, it shall not hurt them. They shall cure the sick by laying their hands upon them.
