⁶ Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no man comes to my Father except by me.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit that dwells within you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, because they belong to God.

¹⁹ For the works of the flesh are well-known, which are these: adultery, impurity, and lasciviousness, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, stubbornness, seditions, heresies, ²¹ Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and all like things: those who practice these things, as I have told you before and I say to you now, they shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² It came to pass on one of the days, Jesus went up and sat in a boat with his disciples; and he said to them, Let us cross to the other side of the lake. ²³ And while they were rowing Jesus fell asleep; and there rose a storm of wind on the lake; and the boat was near sinking. ²⁴ And they came up and awoke him and said to him, Our teacher, our teacher, we are perishing. He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves of water, and they quieted down, and there was a calm. ²⁵ And he said to them, Where is your faith? But as they were frightened, they wondered, saying one to another, O who is this man, who even commands the winds, and the waves and the sea obey him?

¹⁰ Why, then, do you judge your brother? or why do you despise your brother? for we must all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ¹¹ For it is written, As I live, said the LORD, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess me. ¹² So then every one of us shall answer for himself to God. ¹³ Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but rather be mindful of this, that you should never place a stumblingblock in the way of your brother.

³ For though we do live an earthly life, yet we do not serve worldly things. ⁴ For the weapons which we use are not earthly weapons, but of the might of God by which we conquer rebellious strongholds; ⁵ Casting down imaginations, and every false thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and to capture every thought to the obedience of Christ;

¹ He who is weak in the faith, assist him. And be consistent in your reasoning.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

² MY brethren, take it as a joy to you when you enter into many and divers temptations; ³ For you know that the trial of faith will increase your patience. ⁴ And let patience be a perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.

¹³ No other temptation has overtaken you but that which is common to man: but God is faithful; he will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that you are able; but will make your temptation to have a way of escape, so that you may be able to bear it.

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, whom God has given to us; will strengthen us to endure these little afflictions that we may be made steadfast and remain in him for ever.
