³ For the time will come when men will not listen to sound doctrine; but they will add for themselves extra teachers according to their desires, being lured by enticing words;

¹ THE Word was in the beginning, and that very Word was with God, and God was that Word.

¹ MY beloved, do not believe every prophecy, but examine the prophecies to find out if they are of God: because many false prophets have appeared in the world.

⁵ For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

¹⁸ I testify to every man who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book: ¹⁹ And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his portion from the tree of life, and from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

⁸ But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
