¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he even gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world, to condemn the world; but that the world should be saved by him.

²⁰ For, from the very creation of the world, the invisible things of God have been clearly seen and understood by his creations, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

⁵ Of this they are willingly ignorant: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water, and in the water;

³ For it is through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen came to be from those which are not seen.
