³² But I desire you to be without care. The unmarried one cares for the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord; ³³ but the one marrying cares for the things of the world, how to please the wife. ³⁴ The wife and the virgin are different. The unmarried one cares for the things of the Lord, that she be holy in both body and spirit. But the married one cares for the things of the world, how to please the husband. ³⁵ And I say this for your advantage, not that I put a snare before you, but for the fitting thing, and waiting on the Lord without distraction.

³ For this is God's will, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication, ⁴ each one of you to know to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor, ⁵ not in passion of lust, even as also the nations do, not knowing God;

¹³ If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and hates her, ¹⁴ then makes shameful charges against her, and brings up an evil name on her, and says, I took this woman, and when I came near her, I did not find in her the tokens of virginity. ¹⁵ Then the girl's father and her mother shall take and bring the girl's tokens of virginity to the elders of the city in the gate. ¹⁶ And the girl's father shall say to the elders, I have given my daughter to this man for a wife, and he hates her. ¹⁷ And, behold, he has laid shameful charges, saying, I have not found in your daughter the tokens of virginity. And yet see these tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city. ¹⁸ And the elders of that city shall take that man and punish him. ¹⁹ And they shall fine him a hundred pieces of silver, and give them to the girl's father, because he has caused an evil name to be spread abroad on a virgin of Israel. And she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days. ²⁰ But if this thing is true that tokens of virginity have not been found for the girl, ²¹ then they shall bring out the girl to the door of her father's house. And the men of her city shall stone her with stones, and she shall die; for she has done folly in Israel, to commit fornication in her father's house. And you shall put away the evil from among you.

¹ Therefore, brothers, I call on you through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. ² And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁴ These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones following the Lamb wherever He may go. These were redeemed from among men as a firstfruit to God and to the Lamb.

⁶ But from the beginning of creation "God made them male and female." Gen. 1:27 ⁷ "Because of this, a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, ⁸ and the two shall be one flesh;" so that they no longer are two, but one flesh. Gen. 2:24

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may do is outside the body, but he doing fornication sins against his own body. ¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from God, and you are not of yourselves? ²⁰ You were bought with a price; then glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are of God.

³ For this is God's will, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication, ⁴ each one of you to know to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor, ⁵ not in passion of lust, even as also the nations do, not knowing God; ⁶ not to go beyond and to overreach his brother in the matter, because the avenger concerning all these is the Lord, even as we told you before, and solemnly testified. ⁷ For God did not call us to impurity, but in sanctification. ⁸ Therefore, the one that despises does not despise man, but God, even He giving His Holy Spirit to us.

⁸ But I say to the unmarried men, and to the widows, it is good for them if they also remain as I. ⁹ But if they do not have self control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to be inflamed.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

²⁴ Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh.

² but because of fornication, let each have his own wife, and let each have her own husband.
