¹⁶ You shall not testify a witness of falsehood against your neighbor.

³² The lips of the righteous know what is pleasing, but the mouth of the wicked knows only perversities.

¹⁵ But if your brother sins against you, go and reprove him between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

⁴ Love has patience, is kind; love is not envious; love is not vain, is not puffed up; ⁵ does not behave indecently, does not pursue its own things, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;

¹ First of all then, I exhort that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men, ² for kings and all the ones being in high position, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet existence in all godliness and dignity. ³ For this is good and acceptable before God our deliverer, ⁴ who desires all men to be delivered and to come to a full knowledge of truth. ⁵ For God is one, also there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus, ⁶ the One having given Himself a ransom on behalf of all, the testimony to be given in its own times, ⁷ to which I was appointed a herald and apostle (I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie), a teacher of the nations, in faith and truth. ⁸ Therefore, I desire the men to pray in every place, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting. ⁹ So also the women to adorn themselves in proper clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not with plaiting, or gold, or pearls, or expensive garments, ¹⁰ but what becomes women professing fear of God, through good works. ¹¹ Let a woman learn in silence, in all subjection. ¹² And I do not allow a woman to teach nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence. ¹³ For Adam was formed first, then Eve. ¹⁴ And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived has come to be in transgression; ¹⁵ but she will be kept safe through the childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with sensibleness.

⁸ For the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever honorable, whatever is right, whatever pure, whatever lovely, whatever of good report, if of any virtue, and if of any praise, think on these things.

⁶ And the tongue is a fire, the world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body, and inflaming the course of nature, and having been inflamed by Hell.

¹¹ A fool brings out all of his spirit, but holding back, the wise quiets it.

¹³ Who is wise and knowing among you? Let him show his works by his good behavior, in meekness of wisdom. ¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and contention in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, beastly, devilish. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and contention are, there is confusion and every foul deed. ¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for the ones making peace.

⁴ also baseness, and foolish talking, or joking (the things not becoming), but rather thanksgiving.

²³ And he went up from there to Bethel. And he was going up in the highway. And little boys came out from the city and mocked him, and said to him, Go up, bald head! Go up, bald head! ²⁴ And he turned behind him and saw them, and declared them vile in the name of Jehovah. And two bears came out of the forest and tore forty two boys of them.

⁴ each not looking at their own things, but each also at the things of others.

¹⁸ like a madman throwing sparks, arrows and death, ¹⁹ so is a man who deceives his neighbor and says, Am I not joking?

²⁹ Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect to the need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.
