¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them .

² And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

¹² One of them, a prophet of their own, said: Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. ¹³ This testimony is true; for which cause convict them severely, that they may be sound in the faith, ¹⁴ not listening to Jewish myths and commandments of men, having turned away from the truth. ¹⁵ Truly, all things are pure to the pure, but to the ones having been defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience has been defiled. ¹⁶ They profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient, and worthless to every good work.
