¹ A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want. ² He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters; ³ He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. ⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. ⁵ You prepare a table for me before my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. ⁶ Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah for as long as my days.

¹⁰ Do not say, Why was it that the former days were better than these? For you do not ask from wisdom concerning this.

¹ To all there is an appointed time, even a time for every purpose under the heavens:

²⁵ And I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the locust larvae, and the stripping locust, and the cutting locust, My great army which I sent among you.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

⁸ Be sensible, watch, because your adversary the Devil walks about as a roaring lion seeking someone he may devour;

⁷ I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.

¹ But now so says Jehovah who formed you, O Jacob; and He who made you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I called you by your name; you are Mine. ² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk in the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you. ³ For I am Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt for your atonement; Ethiopia and Seba instead of you. ⁴ Since you were precious in My eyes, you are honored, and I love you; and I give men instead of you; and peoples instead of your soul. ⁵ Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your seed from the sunrise; and I will gather you from the sunset. ⁶ I will say to the north, Give up! And to the south, Do not hold back! Bring My sons from afar, and bring My daughters from the ends of the earth; ⁷ everyone who is called by My name, and I have created him for My glory; I have formed him; yea, I have made him. ⁸ Bring out the blind people, yet there are eyes; and the deaf, yet there are ears to him. ⁹ Let all the nations be assembled, and let the peoples be gathered. Who among them can declare this and cause us to hear former things? Let them give their witnesses, that they may be justified. Or let them hear and say, It is true. ¹⁰ You are My witnesses, says Jehovah; and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed; nor shall any be after Me. ¹¹ I, I am Jehovah; and there is no Savior besides Me. ¹² I declared, and I saved, and I proclaimed; and there is not an alien god among you. And you are My witnesses, says Jehovah, and I am God. ¹³ Yea, from this day I am He, and no one delivers from My hand. I will work, and who will reverse it? ¹⁴ So says Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down as fugitives all of them, even the Chaldeans, whose shout is in the ships. ¹⁵ I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. ¹⁶ So says Jehovah, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in mighty waters; ¹⁷ who brings out chariot and horse, force and power; they shall lie down together; they shall not rise; they are put out; they are snuffed out like the wick. ¹⁸ Do not remember former things, nor consider the things of old. ¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall sprout. Shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. ²⁰ The beast of the field shall honor Me, jackals and daughters of ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. ²¹ The people that I formed for Myself shall declare My praise. ²² But you have not called on Me, Jacob; but you have been weary of Me, Israel. ²³ You have not brought Me the lamb of your burnt offerings; even your sacrifices have not honored Me. I have not caused you to serve with an offering, nor wearied you with incense. ²⁴ You have not bought calamus for Me with silver, nor have you filled Me with fat of your sacrifices; but you made Me serve by your sins; you wearied Me by your iniquities. ²⁵ I, even I, am He who blots out your trespasses for My sake; and I will not remember your sins. ²⁶ Cause Me to remember; let us enter into judgment together; sum up for yourself, that you may be justified. ²⁷ Your first father sinned, and your interpreters transgressed against Me. ²⁸ And I will defile the rulers of the sanctuary, and will give Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reviling.

²⁸ But we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose;

²⁴ Therefore I say to you, All things, whatever you ask, praying, believe that you will receive, and it will be to you.

¹⁸ Do not remember former things, nor consider the things of old. ¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall sprout. Shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

¹³ Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind, and stretching forward to those things before, ¹⁴ I press on after the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Then as many as are perfect, let us be of this mind; and if you think anything differently, God will also reveal this to you.

⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹⁰ For the grief according to God works repentance to salvation, not to be regretted. But the grief of the world works out death.

¹³ Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind, and stretching forward to those things before,
