¹ My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands, ² for they shall add length of days and long life and peace to you. ³ Mercy and truth will not forsake you; tie them on your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart; ⁴ and you shall find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. ⁵ Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. ⁷ Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Jehovah and depart from evil. ⁸ Healing shall be to your navel and marrow to your bones. ⁹ Honor Jehovah with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase, ¹⁰ and your barns shall be filled with plenty, and your presses shall burst with new wine. ¹¹ My son, do not reject the chastening of Jehovah, and do not loathe His correction; ¹² for whom Jehovah loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son with whom he is pleased. ¹³ Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding. ¹⁴ For its profit is better than the gain from silver, and its increase more than fine gold; ¹⁵ she is more precious than rubies, and all the things you can desire are not to be compared with her. ¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; riches and honor in her left hand. ¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths peace. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to the ones who lay hold on her; and happy are the ones holding her fast. ¹⁹ Jehovah founded the earth by wisdom; He founded the heavens by understanding; ²⁰ the depths were broken up by His knowledge, and the clouds dropped down the dew. ²¹ My son, do not let them depart from your eyes; keep sound wisdom and judgment, ²² and they shall be life to your soul, and grace to your neck; ²³ then you shall walk in your way safely, and your foot shall not stumble. ²⁴ When you lie down, you shall not dread; yea, you shall lie down and your sleep shall be sweet. ²⁵ Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of the destruction of the wicked when it comes. ²⁶ For Jehovah shall be at your side, and He shall keep your foot from being caught. ²⁷ Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it . ²⁸ Do not say to your neighbor, Go and come back again, or, Tomorrow I will give, when you have it beside you. ²⁹ Do not plan evil against your neighbor, since he lives securely by you. ³⁰ Do not strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm. ³¹ Do not envy the cruel man, and choose not among all his ways. ³² For the perverse one is hateful to Jehovah, but His intimacy is with the righteous. ³³ The curse of Jehovah is in the house of the wicked, but He blesses the abode of the just. ³⁴ Surely He scorns the scorners, but He gives grace to the lowly. ³⁵ The wise inherit honor, but the foolish exalt shame.

²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard? Jehovah, the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth; He is not faint, nor does He grow weary; there is no searching to His understanding. ²⁹ He gives power to the faint, and to him with no vigor He increases might. ³⁰ Even youths are faint and fatigued, and young men surely shall stumble; ³¹ but the ones waiting for Jehovah shall renew power; they shall go up with wings as the eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint!

⁷ I say to you that so is joy in Heaven over one sinner repenting, than over ninety nine righteous ones who have no need of repentance.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from God, and you are not of yourselves? ²⁰ You were bought with a price; then glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are of God.

¹² I would that the ones causing you to doubt will cut themselves off.

⁷ Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man may sow, that he also will reap. ⁸ For the one sowing to his flesh will reap corruption of the flesh. But the one sowing to the Spirit will reap everlasting life from the Spirit.

⁷ Each one as he purposes in his heart, not out of grief or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. Prov. 22:8

¹⁹ And my God will fill your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹ Be careful not to do your merciful deeds before men in order to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward from your Father in Heaven. ² Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, do not trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. ³ But you doing merciful deeds, do not let your left know what your right hand does, ⁴ so that your merciful deeds may be in secret. And your Father seeing in secret Himself will repay you in the open.

¹¹ in diligence, not slothful, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me.

¹⁷ The righteous cry, and Jehovah hears, and saves them out of all their distresses. ¹⁸ Jehovah is near those who are broken-hearted, and saves those who have a contrite spirit. ¹⁹ Many are the evils of the righteous, but Jehovah helps him out of them all, ²⁰ keeping all his bones; not one of them is broken.

²⁶ But looking on them, Jesus said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

⁵ Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding;

⁵⁸ So that, my beloved brothers, you be firm, immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord always, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.

²³ And whatever you may do, work from the soul as to the Lord and not to men,
