Bible verses about "flirting" | LITV

Proverbs 7:1-27

1 My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. 2 Keep my commands and live, and my law as the pupil of your eye. 3 Tie them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Say to wisdom, You are my sister, and call understanding your kinsman, 5 so that they may keep you from the strange woman, from the alien with her flattering words. 6 For I looked through my lattice, at the window of my house, 7 and I saw among the simple ones, I observed among the sons a young man lacking heart, 8 passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, 9 in the twilight, in the evening, in the black and darkness of night. 10 And, behold, a woman to meet him, with a harlot's dress, and a guarded heart; 11 she is loud and stubborn; her feet do not stay in her own house. 12 At this time she is outside, now in the streets, and she lies in wait at every corner; 13 and she seizes him and kisses him; she hardens her face and says to him, 14 Sacrifices of peace offerings are on me, today I have paid my vows; 15 so I came out to meet you, earnestly to seek your face, and I have found you. 16 I have spread my couch with coverings, with striped cloths of Egyptian linen. 17 I have sprinkled my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon. 18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning, let us delight ourselves with caresses. 19 For my husband is not at his house; he is going in the way, far away. 20 He has taken a bag of silver in his hand; at the day of the full moon he will enter his house. 21 With the sum of her persuasion she turned him aside; with the flattering of her lips she forced him. 22 He goes after her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter; or as one in fetters goes to the correction of a fool, 23 until an arrow strikes through his liver, as a bird hastens to the snare, and not knowing that it is for his soul. 24 Now, then, listen to me, O sons, and attend to the words of my mouth: 25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways; do not go astray in her paths. 26 For many are the wounded she has caused to fall; and plentiful all her slain ones. 27 The ways of Sheol are in her house, leading down to the rooms of death.

Romans 1:24-32

24 Because of this, God gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves, 25 who changed the truth of God into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature. 27 And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error. 28 And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, 29 having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, iniquity, covetousness, malice, being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, braggarts, devisers of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without discernment, perfidious, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful, 32 who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also applaud those practicing them .

2 Peter 2:12-14

12 But these as unreasoning natural beasts, having been born for capture and corruption, speaking evil in that of which they are ignorant, they shall utterly perish in their corruption, 13 being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, having deemed indulgence in the day to be pleasure; spots and blemishes reveling in their deceits, feasting along with you, 14 having eyes full of an adulteress, and never ceasing from sin; alluring unsettled souls; having a heart busied with covetousness; cursed children;

Isaiah 3:16-17

16 And Jehovah says, Because the daughters of Zion are proud, and walk with stretched out necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and make a tinkling with their feet; 17 So Jehovah will make the crown of the daughter of Zion scabby; and Jehovah will lay their secret parts bare.

Exodus 20:17

17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male slave, or his slave-girl, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which belongs to your neighbor.

1 John 2:1-29

1 My little children, I write these things to you so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He is the propitiation relating to our sins, and not relating to ours only, but also relating to all the world. 3 And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commands. 4 The one saying, I have known Him, and not keeping His commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that one. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly in this one the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 The one saying to rest in Him ought so to walk himself as that One walked. 7 Brothers, I do not write a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. 8 Again I write a new commandment to you which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true Light already shines. 9 The one saying to be in the light, and hating his brother, is in the darkness until now. 10 The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him. 11 But the one hating his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness blinded his eyes. 12 Little children, I write to you because you have been forgiven your sins through His name. 13 Fathers, I write to you because you have known Him from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you overcome the evil one. I write to you, young ones, because you have known the Father. 14 Fathers, I have written to you because you have known Him from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, 16 because all that which is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and its lust. But the one doing the will of God abides forever. 18 Young ones, it is a last hour, and as you heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have risen up, from which you know that it is a last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they were of us, they would have remained with us; but they left so that it might be revealed that they all are not of us. 20 And you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21 I did not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because every lie is not of the truth. 22 Who is the liar, except the one denying, saying that Jesus is not the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one denying the Father and the Son. 23 Everyone denying the Son does not have the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father. 24 Then what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise which He promised us: everlasting life. 26 I wrote these things to you concerning the ones leading you astray. 27 And the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and as He taught you, abide in Him. 28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He is revealed we may have confidence, and not be shamed from Him in His coming. 29 If you know that He is righteous, know that everyone doing righteousness has been born of Him.

Philippians 4:8

8 For the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever honorable, whatever is right, whatever pure, whatever lovely, whatever of good report, if of any virtue, and if of any praise, think on these things.

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 and My people, on whom My name is called, shall be humbled, and shall pray, and shall seek My face, and shall turn back from their evil ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Ecclesiastes 5:2

2 Do not be hasty with your mouth, and do not let your heart hurry to bring forth a word before God. For God is in Heaven, and you are on earth; on account of this, let your words be few.

Proverbs 6:24-25

24 to keep you from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of the strange woman. 25 Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, and do not let her take you with her eyelids,

Titus 2:11-12
