²⁰ And the sister of Aaron, Miriam the prophetess took the timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. ²¹ And Miriam answered to them, Sing to Jehovah, for surely He has triumphed gloriously; He has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea.

³⁴ And Jephthah came to Mizpeh to his house. And, behold his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels, and with choruses. And she only, she alone; there was no other son or daughter to him.

¹ A Psalm of Thanksgiving. ¹¹ They send their little ones out as a flock; and their children dance.

⁴ Again I will build you, and you shall be built again, O virgin of Israel. You will again put on your tambourines and go forth in the dance of those making merry.

¹⁴ And David was dancing with all his might before Jehovah. And David was girded with a linen ephod.

⁴ Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with strings and pipes.

¹ Praise Jehovah! Praise God in His holy place; praise Him in the expanse of His might. ² Praise Him in His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness. ³ Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the harp and lyre. ⁴ Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with strings and pipes. ⁵ Praise Him on the sounding cymbals; praise Him with the resounding cymbals. ⁶ Let everything that breathes praise Jehovah. Praise Jehovah!

¹³ Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, both young men and elders together. For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

¹¹ You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have loosed my sackcloth and have clothed me with gladness.

⁴ a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

³ Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praise to Him with the timbrel and lyre.
