¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, I am Jehovah your God. ³ You shall not do according to the doings of the land of Egypt in which you lived; and you shall not do according to the doings of the land of Canaan to which I am bringing you; nor shall you walk in their statutes. ⁴ You shall do My judgments and you shall keep My statutes, to walk in them; I am Jehovah your God, ⁵ and you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man do, he shall live by them. I am Jehovah. ⁶ None of you shall draw near to any relative of his flesh to uncover their nakedness; I am Jehovah. ⁷ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father or the nakedness of your mother; she is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness. ⁸ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is the nakedness of your father. ⁹ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, born at home, or born away; you shall not uncover their nakedness. ¹⁰ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son's daughter, or your daughter's daughter; you shall not uncover their nakedness, for theirs is your own nakedness. ¹¹ The nakedness of the daughter of your father's wife, begotten by your father, she is your sister; you shall not uncover her nakedness. ¹² You shall not uncover the nakedness of a sister of your father; she is a relative of your father. ¹³ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister; for she is your mother's relative. ¹⁴ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother; you shall not draw near to his wife; she is your aunt. ¹⁵ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son's wife; you shall not uncover her nakedness. ¹⁶ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness. ¹⁷ You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter; you shall not undertake to uncover her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter; they are her relatives; it is wickedness. ¹⁸ And you shall not take a wife with her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her lifetime. ¹⁹ And you shall not draw near to uncover the nakedness of a woman in her menstrual impurity. ²⁰ And you shall not give your semen to the your neighbor's wife by lying with her, for uncleanness with her. ²¹ And you shall not give your seed to pass them through to Molech, nor shall you pollute the name of your God; I am Jehovah. ²² And you shall not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is a perversion. ²³ And you shall not give your semen with any animal, for uncleanness with it. And a woman shall not stand before an animal to lie down with it; it is a shameful mixing. ²⁴ Do not defile yourself with all these, for with all these the nations have been defiled, which I am casting out before you; ²⁵ and the land is defiled, and I will visit its iniquity on it; and the land is vomiting out its inhabitants; ²⁶ and you, you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not do any of all these disgusting acts; neither the native nor the alien who is staying in your midst. ²⁷ For the men of the land who are before you have done all these disgusting things, and the land is defiled. ²⁸ Do not do these lest the land vomit you out for your defiling it, as it has vomited out the nation that was before you. ²⁹ For anyone who does any of these disgusting things, even the persons who are doing them, shall be cut off from the midst of their people. ³⁰ And you shall keep My charge, so as not to do any of the disgusting customs which were committed before you; and you shall not defile yourselves with them; I am Jehovah your God.

²⁶ Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature. ²⁷ And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error.

¹⁸ For God's wrath is revealed from Heaven on all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, holding the truth in unrighteousness, ¹⁹ because the thing known of God is clearly known within them, for God revealed it to them. ²⁰ for the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse. ²¹ Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. ²² Professing to be wise, they became foolish ²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things. ²⁴ Because of this, God gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves, ²⁵ who changed the truth of God into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. ²⁶ Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature. ²⁷ And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error. ²⁸ And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, ²⁹ having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, iniquity, covetousness, malice, being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers, ³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, braggarts, devisers of evil things, disobedient to parents, ³¹ without discernment, perfidious, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful, ³² who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also applaud those practicing them .

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,

¹⁰ Love does not work evil to the neighbor. Then love is the fulfillment of law. ¹¹ Also this, knowing the time, that it is now the hour for you to be aroused from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. ¹² The night is far gone, and the day has drawn near; then let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the weapons of the light. ¹³ Let us walk becomingly, as in the day, not in carousings and drunkennesses, not in co-habitation and lustful acts, not in fighting and envy. ¹⁴ But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not take thought beforehand for the lusts of the flesh.

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹ And he arrived in Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple named Timothy was there, the son of a certain believing Jewish woman, but his father was a Greek. ² This one was being testified of by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium. ³ Paul desired this one to go forth with him, and taking him he circumcised him, because of the Jews being in those places. For they all knew his father, that he was a Greek. ⁴ And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the need to keep the decrees that had been determined by the apostles and the elders in Jerusalem. ⁵ Then indeed the churches were being made stronger in the faith, and increased in number day by day. ⁶ And passing through the Phrygian and the Galatian country, being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the Word in Asia, ⁷ coming against Mysia, they attempted to go along Bithynia, and the Spirit did not allow them. ⁸ And passing by Mysia, they came down into Troas. ⁹ And a vision appeared to Paul during the night: a certain man of Macedonia was standing, entreating him and saying, Passing over into Macedonia, help us! ¹⁰ And when he saw the vision, we immediately sought to go forth into Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to announce the gospel to them. ¹¹ Then having set sail from Troas, we ran a straight course into Samothrace, and on the morrow into Neapolis, ¹² and from there into Philippi, which is the first city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were in this city, staying some days. ¹³ And on the day of the sabbaths, we went outside the city beside a river, where it was customary for prayer to be made . And sitting down, we spoke to the women who came together there . ¹⁴ And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple of the city of Thyatira, one reverencing God, listened, whose heart the Lord opened thoroughly to pay attention to the things being spoken by Paul. ¹⁵ And as she and her household were baptized, she entreated Paul, saying, If you have judged me to be believing in the Lord, entering into my house, remain. And she strongly urged us. ¹⁶ And it happened, as we went into a place of prayer, a certain girl slave having a Pythonic spirit met us, whose divining brought much gain to her lords. ¹⁷ Following after Paul and us, she cried out, saying, These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are announcing to us a way of salvation! ¹⁸ And she did this over many days. But becoming distressed, and turning to the demonic spirit, Paul said, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out from her! And it came out in that same hour. ¹⁹ And seeing that the hope of their gain went out, having seized Paul and Silas, her lords dragged them to the market before the rulers. ²⁰ And bringing them near to the magistrates, they said, These men are very much troubling our city, being Jews, ²¹ and announce customs which it is not lawful for us to receive, nor to do, being Romans. ²² And the crowd rose up against them. And tearing off their clothes, the magistrates ordered men to flog them . ²³ And laying on them many stripes, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them securely, ²⁴ who, receiving such a charge, threw them into the inner prison, and locked their feet in the stocks. ²⁵ And having prayed, toward midnight Paul and Silas praised God in a hymn. And the prisoners listened to them. ²⁶ And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the jail were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and all of the bonds were loosened. ²⁷ And having been awakened, and seeing that the doors of the prison had been opened, having drawn a sword, the jailer was about to do away with himself, supposing the prisoners to have escaped. ²⁸ But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do no harm to yourself! For we are all here. ²⁹ And asking for lights, he rushed in. And becoming trembly, he fell before Paul and Silas. ³⁰ And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved? ³¹ And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. ³² And they spoke the Word of the Lord to him, and to all those in his house. ³³ And taking them in that hour of the night, he washed from their stripes. And he and all those belonging to him were baptized at once. ³⁴ And bringing them up to the house, he set a table before them, and exulted whole-housely, believing God. ³⁵ And day having come, the magistrates sent the floggers, saying, let those men go. ³⁶ And the jailer announced these words to Paul, The magistrates have sent that you be let go. Now, then, going out, proceed in peace. ³⁷ But Paul said to them, Having beaten us publicly, being Romans and uncondemned men, they threw us into prison. And now do they throw us out secretly? No, indeed! But coming themselves, let them bring us out. ³⁸ And the floggers reported these words to the magistrates. And hearing that they were Romans, they were afraid. ³⁹ And coming, they begged them . And bringing them out, they asked them to go out of the city. ⁴⁰ And going out from the prison, they went into the house of Lydia. And seeing the brothers, they exhorted them, and went out.

²⁸ A perverse man causes strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.

⁵ Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

¹³ No servant is able to serve two lords; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other; or he will cling to one, and he will despise the other. You are unable to serve God and mammon.

⁵ Then put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication; uncleanness; passion; evil lust; and covetousness, which is idolatry;

¹² instructing us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly and righteously and godly in the present age,

²³ for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness, self-control. Against such things there is not a law.

²⁶ For if we are willfully sinning after receiving the full knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice concerning sins,
