¹ A song for the ascents.*
I lift up my eyes to the mountains; whence will my help come? ² My help is from Yahweh, maker of heaven and earth. ³ He will not allow your foot to be moved; he who protects you will not slumber. ⁴ Look, he will not slumber and he will not sleep— he who protects Israel. ⁵ Yahweh is your protector; Yahweh is your shade at your right hand. ⁶ The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. ⁷ Yahweh will protect you from all evil;* he will protect your life. ⁸ Yahweh will protect your going out and your coming in from now until forever.

⁹ The Lord is not delaying the promise, as some consider slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he* does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance.

³⁰ Yahweh your God, who is going _⌊before you_⌋,* will himself* fight for you, _⌊just as_⌋* he did for you in Egypt before your eyes, ³¹ and just as he did in the wilderness* when* you saw that* Yahweh your God carried you, just as someone* carries his son, all along the way that you traveled until _⌊you reached_⌋* this place.'

²³ The steps of a man are established by Yahweh, and he takes pleasure in his way. ²⁴ Though he fall, he will not be cast headlong, for Yahweh supports him with his hand. ²⁵ I was a youth, but I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children _⌊begging for_⌋* bread. ²⁶ All the day he is gracious and lends, and his children are a blessing. ²⁷ Turn aside from evil and do good and so abide forever. ²⁸ For Yahweh loves justice and will not forsake his faithful ones. They are protected forever. But the children of the wicked will be cut off. ²⁹ The righteous will possess the land and abide in it forever.

²³ Then you will walk in the confidence of your ways, and your foot will not stumble.

⁷ Only be strong and very courageous _⌊to observe diligently the whole law_⌋* that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn aside from it, to the right or left, so that you may succeed _⌊wherever you go_⌋.*

¹⁰⁵ Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

⁹ The _⌊mind_⌋* of a person will plan his ways, and Yahweh will direct his steps.

⁸ Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said,
"I am here! Send me!"

¹⁸ And Jesus approached and* spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ¹⁹ Therefore, go* and* make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the age."

⁹ If I lift up the wings of the dawn, and I alight on the far side of the sea, ¹⁰ even there your hand would lead me, and your right hand would hold me fast.

⁸ Yahweh will protect your going out and your coming in from now until forever.

¹¹ For he will command his angels concerning you, to watch over you in all your ways.
