¹⁶ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

³⁹ For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, just as many as the LORD our God shall call.

²¹ And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

¹⁷ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.

¹³ There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

⁷ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ⁸ Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

⁹ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
