¹ Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? ² Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? ³ Do you not know that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? ⁴ If then you have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. ⁵ I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brothers? ⁶ But brother goes to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. ⁷ Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? why do you not rather permit yourselves to be defrauded? ⁸ No, you do wrong, and defraud, and that your brothers. ⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, ¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ¹² All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. ¹³ Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. ¹⁴ And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. ¹⁵ Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. ¹⁶ What? do you not know that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, says he, shall be one flesh. ¹⁷ But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. ¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body. ¹⁹ What? do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

²⁶ If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

⁵ You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the speck out of your brother's eye.

¹² For what have I to do to judge them also that are outside? do not you judge them that are within?

¹ Judge not, that you be not judged.

¹¹ Speak not evil one of another, brothers. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge. ¹² There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you that judges another?

³ And think you this, O man, that judge those who do such things, and are doing the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God?

¹ Judge not, that you be not judged. ² For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete out, it shall be measured back to you again. ³ And why do you behold the speck that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye? ⁴ Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull out the speck out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the speck out of your brother's eye.

³⁷ Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:

²⁴ Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
