²² And Jesus answering says unto them, Have faith in God. ²³ For Truthfully I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. ²⁴ Therefore I say unto you, Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. ²⁵ And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

¹⁸ And Zacharias said unto the angel, How shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well advanced in years. ¹⁹ And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto you, and to show you these glad tidings. ²⁰ And, behold, you shall be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because you believe not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their appropriate time.

²³ And he that doubts is damned if he eat, because he eats not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: ³³ Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. ³⁴ Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, grown valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. ³⁵ Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: ³⁶ And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yes, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: ³⁷ They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; ³⁸ (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserted places, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. ³⁹ And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: ⁴⁰ God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

²⁴ And immediately the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help you my unbelief.

³⁸ And he said unto them, Why are you troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

²⁷ Then says he to Thomas, Reach to here your finger, and behold my hands; and reach to here your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

³¹ And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?

²³ For Truthfully I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.

⁵ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. ⁶ But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. ⁷ For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. ⁸ A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

²² And of some have compassion, making a difference:

²¹ Jesus answered and said unto them, Truthfully I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; it shall be done.

⁶ But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
