¹⁷ And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. ¹⁸ And he said unto them, Are you so without understanding also? Do you not perceive, that whatsoever thing from outside enters into the man, it cannot defile him; ¹⁹ Because it enters not into his heart, but into the belly, and goes out into the drain, purging all foods?

¹⁸ And be not drunk with wine, in which is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

¹⁹ What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

¹² Test your servants, I beseech you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat, and water to drink.

²⁹ And God said, Behold, I have given you every plant bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, which has seed in its fruit; to you it shall be for food.
