¹⁰ Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.

⁶ Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

²² Have you faith? have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows.

¹⁵ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would that you were cold or hot. ¹⁶ So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.

⁸ Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

³ And by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. ⁴ He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ⁵ But whoever keeps his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: by this we know that we are in him. ⁶ He that says he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. ⁷ Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning. ⁸ Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines. ⁹ He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness even until now. ¹⁰ He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him. ¹¹ But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes.

¹⁷ And he is before all things, and by him all things are held together.

²⁷ But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.

³⁷ But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these comes from evil.

⁹ And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

²¹ You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: you cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of demons.

¹³ No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
