¹ A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. ² He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. ³ He restoreth my soul; He guideth me in straight paths for His name's sake. ⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. ⁵ Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over. ⁶ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

³⁵ If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),

⁶ In nothing be anxious, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

¹² The LORD will open unto thee His good treasure the heaven to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow.

⁸ Write ye also concerning the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring; for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse.'

³⁵ In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

¹ (45:1) For the Leader; upon Shoshannim; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves. (45:2) My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter; I say: 'My work is concerning a king'; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

⁸ The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand for ever.'

³ Let not kindness and truth forsake thee; bind them about thy neck, write them upon the table of thy heart; ⁴ So shalt thou find grace and good favour in the sight of God and man.

⁴ For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written aforetime for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

¹⁶ Every scripture, inspired of God, is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness.

¹² For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.

² And the LORD answered me, and said: 'Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that a man may read it swiftly.
