¹ (19:1) For the Leader. A Psalm of David. (19:2) The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork; ² (19:3) Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night revealeth knowledge; ³ (19:4) There is no speech, there are no words, neither is their voice heard. ⁴ (19:5) Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tent for the sun, ⁵ (19:6) Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course. ⁶ (19:7) His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. ⁷ (19:8) The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. ⁸ (19:9) The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. ⁹ (19:10) The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of the LORD are true, they are righteous altogether; ¹⁰ (19:11) More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ¹¹ (19:12) Moreover by them is Thy servant warned; in keeping of them there is great reward. ¹² (19:13) Who can discern his errors? Clear Thou me from hidden faults. ¹³ (19:14) Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins, that they may not have dominion over me; then shall I be faultless, and I shall be clear from great transgression. ¹⁴ (19:15) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before Thee, O LORD, my Rock, and my Redeemer.

¹ And it came to pass soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good tidings of the kingdom of God, and with him the twelve, ² and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities; Mary that was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, ³ and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered unto them of their substance. ⁴ And when a great multitude came together, and they of every city resorted unto him, he spake by a parable: ⁵ The sower went forth to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and it was trodden under foot, and the birds of the heaven devoured it. ⁶ And other fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture. ⁷ And other fell amidst the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it. ⁸ And other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit a hundredfold. As he said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. ⁹ And his disciples asked him what this parable might be. ¹⁰ And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables, that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand. ¹¹ Now the parable is this; The seed is the word of God. ¹² And those by the way side are they that have heard, then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved. ¹³ And those on the rock are they who, when they have heard, receive the word with joy, and these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. ¹⁴ And that which fell among the thorns, these are they that have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. ¹⁵ And that in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bring forth fruit with patience. ¹⁶ And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed, but putteth it on a stand, that they that enter in may see the light. ¹⁷ For nothing is hid, that shall not be made manifest, nor anything secret, that shall not be known and come to light. ¹⁸ Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath. ¹⁹ And there came to him his mother and brethren, and they could not come at him for the crowd. ²⁰ And it was told him, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. ²¹ But he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God, and do it. ²² Now it came to pass on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake; and they launched forth. ²³ But as they sailed he fell asleep; and there came down a storm of wind on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. ²⁴ And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. And he awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm. ²⁵ And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And being afraid they marveled, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him? ²⁶ And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. ²⁷ And when he was come forth upon the land, there met him a certain man out of the city, who had demons, and for a long time he had worn no clothes, and abode not in any house, but in the tombs. ²⁸ And when he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee, torment me not. ²⁹ For he was commanding the unclean spirit to come out from the man. For oftentimes it had seized him; and he was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters, and breaking the bands asunder, he was driven of the demon into the deserts. ³⁰ And Jesus asked him, What is thy name? And he said, Legion, for many demons were entered into him. ³¹ And he entreated him that he would not command them to depart into the abyss. ³² Now there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain; and they entreated him that he would give them leave to enter into them. And he gave them leave. ³³ And the demons came out from the man, and entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, and were drowned. ³⁴ And when they that fed them saw what had come to pass, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country. ³⁵ And they went out to see what had come to pass, and they came to Jesus, and found the man, from whom the demons were gone out, sitting, clothed and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid. ³⁶ And they that saw it told them how he that was possessed with demons was made whole. ³⁷ And all the people of the country of the Gadarenes round about asked him to depart from them, for they were holden with great fear; and he entered into a boat, and returned. ³⁸ But the man from whom the demons were gone out prayed him that he might be with him; but he sent him away, saying, ³⁹ Return to thy house, and declare how great things God hath done for thee. And he went his way, publishing throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done for him. ⁴⁰ it came to pass, that, as Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him. ⁴¹ And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue; and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him to come into his house, ⁴² for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went the multitudes thronged him. ⁴³ And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, who had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed of any, ⁴⁴ came behind him, and touched the border of his garment; and immediately the issue of her blood stanched. ⁴⁵ And Jesus said, Who is it that touched me? And when all denied, Peter said, and they that were with him, Master, the multitudes press thee and crush thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? ⁴⁶ But Jesus said, Some one did touch me, for I perceived that power had gone forth from me. ⁴⁷ And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people for what cause she touched him, and how she was healed immediately. ⁴⁸ And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good cheer; thy faith hath made thee whole, go in peace. ⁴⁹ While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying, Thy daughter is dead, trouble not the Teacher. ⁵⁰ But Jesus hearing it, answered him, Fear not; only believe, and she shall be made whole. ⁵¹ And when he came to the house, he suffered not any man to enter in, save Peter, and John, and James, and the father of the maiden and her mother. ⁵² And all were weeping, and bewailing her; but he said, Weep not, for she is not dead, but sleepeth. ⁵³ And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. ⁵⁴ But putting them all out, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, Maiden, arise. ⁵⁵ And her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately; and he commanded that something be given her to eat. ⁵⁶ And her parents were amazed; but he charged them to tell no man what had been done.

¹⁷ And these signs shall accompany them that believe; in my name shall they cast out demons, they shall speak with new tongues, ¹⁸ they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father, ⁴ knowing, brethren beloved of God, your election, ⁵ how that our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, even as ye know what manner of men we showed ourselves toward you for your sake. ⁶ And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, ⁷ so that ye became an ensample to all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia. ⁸ For from you hath sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith to God-ward is gone forth, so that we need not to speak anything. ⁹ For they themselves report concerning us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned unto God from idols, to serve a living and true God,

¹ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away, and the sea is no more. ² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them: ⁴ and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more; for the first things are passed away. ⁵ And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith unto me, Write; for these words are true and faithful. ⁶ And he said unto me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. ⁷ He that overcometh shall inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. ⁸ But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and sinners, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. ⁹ And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls laden with the seven last plagues, and he spake with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the wife, the bride of the Lamb. ¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, ¹¹ having the glory of God; her light was like unto a stone most precious, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal: ¹² having a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: ¹³ on the east were three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. ¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. ¹⁵ And he that spake with me had for a measure a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. ¹⁶ And the city lieth foursquare, and the length thereof is as great as the breadth; and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand and twelve furlongs; the length and the breadth and the height thereof are equal. ¹⁷ And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. ¹⁸ And the building of the wall thereof was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like unto pure glass. ¹⁹ The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper, the second, sapphire, the third, chalcedony, the fourth, emerald, ²⁰ the fifth, sardonyx, the sixth, sardius, the seventh, chrysolite, the eighth, beryl, the ninth, topaz, the tenth, chrysoprase, the eleventh, jacinth, the twelfth, amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each one of the several gates was of one pearl; and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. ²² And I saw no temple therein; for the Lord God the Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple thereof. ²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof is the Lamb. ²⁴ And the nations shall walk amidst the light thereof; and the kings of the earth shall bring to it the glory and honor of the nations into it. ²⁵ And the gates thereof shall in no wise be shut by day (for there shall be no night there): ²⁶ and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it: ²⁷ and there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean, or any that maketh an abomination and a lie; but only they that are written in the Lamb's book of life.

¹ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, ² in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve manner of fruits, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. ³ And there shall be no curse any more; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be therein; and his servants shall serve him, ⁴ and they shall see his face, and his name shall be on their foreheads. ⁵ And there shall be no night there, and they need no lamp, neither light of sun, for the Lord God shall give them light; and they shall reign for ever and ever. ⁶ And he saith unto me, These words are faithful and true; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angels to show unto his servants the things which must shortly come to pass. ⁷ And behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book. ⁸ And I John am he that heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel that showed me these things. ⁹ And he saith unto me, See thou do it not; I am a fellow-servant with thee and with thy brethren the prophets, and with them that keep the words of this book; worship God. ¹⁰ And he saith unto me, Seal not up the words of the prophecy of this book; the time is at hand. ¹¹ He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still; and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still; and he that is holy, let him be made holy still. ¹² Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work shall be. ¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. ¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. ¹⁵ Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie. ¹⁶ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the morning star. ¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come; he that will, let him take the water of life freely. ¹⁸ I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, may God add unto him the plagues which are written in this book: ¹⁹ and if any man taketh away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book. ²⁰ He who testifieth these things saith, Yea; I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. ²¹ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.

¹¹ The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

¹⁷ For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they have called thee an outcast: 'She is Zion, there is none that careth for her.'

¹ And he called unto him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.

¹² Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father.

¹⁷ and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

¹⁰ And may the God of all grace, who called us unto his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a little while, himself perfect you, established, strengthened, grounded.

²⁰ He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.

²⁵ He that loveth his life shall lose it, and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.

¹³ I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.

⁹ for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, ¹⁰ and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power:

¹³ Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth; for he shall not speak from himself, but what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak; and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.

¹⁰ The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

¹ James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are of the Dispersion, greeting. ² Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations, ³ Knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience. ⁴ And let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing. ⁵ But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him. ⁶ But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting; for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. ⁷ For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord, ⁸ a doubleminded man, unstable in all his ways. ⁹ But let the brother of low degree glory in his high estate: ¹⁰ and the rich, in that he is made low; because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. ¹¹ For the sun ariseth with the scorching wind, and withereth the grass; and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth; so also shall the rich man fade away in his goings. ¹² Blessed is the man that endureth temptation, for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love him. ¹³ Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God, for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempteth no man: ¹⁴ but each man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. ¹⁵ Then the lust, when it hath conceived, beareth sin; and the sin, when it is fullgrown, bringeth forth death. ¹⁶ Be not deceived, my beloved brethren. ¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning. ¹⁸ Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. ¹⁹ Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: ²⁰ for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. ²¹ Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. ²² But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding your own selves. ²³ For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror: ²⁴ for he beholdeth himself, and goeth away, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. ²⁵ But he that looketh into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and so continueth, he being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing. ²⁶ If any man among you thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain. ²⁷ Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
