Leviticus 19:12

12 And ye shall not swear by My name falsely, so that thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

1 John 1:9

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Ephesians 5:1-33

1 Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children, 2 and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints, 4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting; but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no man deceive you with empty words; for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them, 8 For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10 proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord, 11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them, 12 for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of. 13 But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light; for everything that is made manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee. 15 Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father, 21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ. 22 Wives, be in subjection unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it, 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself: 29 for no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord also the church, 30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great; but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church. 33 Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself, and let the wife see that she fear her husband.

Proverbs 18:2

2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may lay itself bare.

Proverbs 20:15

15 There is gold, and a multitude of rubies; but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

James 3:1-18

1 Be not many of you teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment. 2 For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also. 3 Behold, we put the horses' bridles into their mouths that they may obey us, we turn about their whole body also. 4 Behold, the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, are yet turned about by a very small rudder, whither the impulse of the steersman willeth. 5 So the tongue also is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how much wood is kindled by how small a fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, the world of iniquity. Thus is the tongue set among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of nature, and is set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beasts and birds, of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed by mankind. 8 But the tongue can no man tame, it is an unruly evil, it is full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we the God and Father, and therewith curse we men, who are made after the likeness of God: 10 out of the same mouth cometh forth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth the fountain send forth from the same opening sweet water and bitter? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, yield olives, or a vine figs? So can no fountain both yield salt water and sweet. 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? let him show by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom is not a wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

Hebrews 13:15

15 Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name.

Proverbs 12:19

19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever; but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Proverbs 15:1

1 A soft answer turneth away wrath; but a grievous word stirreth up anger.

Ephesians 4:29

29 Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.

Psalms 141:3

3 Set a guard, O LORD, to my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.
