¹⁵ And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. ¹⁶ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.

³⁹ Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life, and these are they which bear witness of me, ⁴⁰ and ye will not come to me, that ye may have life.

⁵⁰ This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. ⁵² The Jews therefore strove one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? ⁵³ Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves. ⁵⁴ He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he that eateth me, he also shall live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as your fathers ate the manna, and died, he that eateth this bread shall live for ever. ⁵⁹ These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. ⁶⁰ Many therefore of his disciples, when the heard this, said, This is a hard saying, who can hear it? ⁶¹ But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said unto them, Doth this cause you to stumble? ⁶² What then if ye should behold the Son of man ascending where he was before? ⁶³ It is the spirit that giveth life, the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, and are life. ⁶⁴ But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who it was that should betray him. ⁶⁵ And he said, For this cause have I said unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it be given unto him of my Father. ⁶⁶ Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. ⁶⁷ Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away? ⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ And we have believed and know that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. ⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, Did not I choose you the twelve, and one of you is a devil? ⁷¹ Now he spake of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins; for except ye believe that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

²¹ But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets, ²² even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe, for there is no distinction, ²³ for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ whom God set forth to be a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God, ²⁶ for the showing, I say, of his righteousness at this present season; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him that hath faith in Jesus. ²⁷ Where then is the glorying? It is excluded. By what manner of law? of works? Nay; but by a law of faith. ²⁸ We reckon therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

¹⁸ Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit, ¹⁹ in which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison, ²⁰ that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water: ²¹ which also after a true likeness doth now save you, even baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

⁹ Herein was the love of God manifested in us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

²¹ And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? ²² But Jesus perceiving their reasonings, answered and said unto them, Why reason ye in your hearts? ²³ Which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee, or to say, Arise and walk? ²⁴ But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (he said unto him that was palsied), I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go unto thy house. ²⁵ And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his house, glorifying God.

⁴⁵ Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures, ⁴⁶ and he said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day, ⁴⁷ and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. ⁴⁸ Ye are witnesses of these things. ⁴⁹ And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you; but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be clothed with power from on high.

⁸ for by grace have ye been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, ⁹ not of works, that no man should glory.

³⁸ And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁴ How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

¹ Now I make known unto you brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, wherein also ye stand, ² by which also ye are saved, if ye hold fast the word which I preached unto you, except ye believed in vain. ³ For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received; that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, ⁴ and that he was buried, and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures, ⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve, ⁶ then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep, ⁷ then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, ⁸ and last of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me also. ⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. ¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am; and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. ¹¹ Whether then it be I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. ¹² Now if Christ is preached that he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? ¹³ But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither hath Christ been raised: ¹⁴ and if Christ hath not been raised, then is our preaching vain, your faith also is vain. ¹⁵ Yea, we are found false witnesses of God, because we witnessed of God that he raised up Christ; whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead are not raised. ¹⁶ For if the dead are not raised, neither hath Christ been raised: ¹⁷ and if Christ hath not been raised, your faith is vain, ye are yet in your sins. ¹⁸ Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ have perished. ¹⁹ If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable. ²⁰ But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, having become the firstfruits of them that are asleep. ²¹ For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. ²² For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. ²³ But each in his own order; Christ the firstfruits, then they that are Christ's, at his coming. ²⁴ Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy that shall be abolished is death. ²⁷ For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him. ²⁸ And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.

⁹ because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: ¹⁰ for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ¹¹ For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be put to shame. ¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him: ¹³ for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
