³¹ And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life.

⁸ For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light ⁹ (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), ¹⁰ proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord, ¹¹ and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them,

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

¹ Happy is the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful. ² But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. ³ And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper. ⁴ Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. ⁵ Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. ⁶ For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.

¹⁵ But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. ¹⁶ By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather a grape cluster of thorns, or figs of thistles? ¹⁷ Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. ¹⁸ A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. ¹⁹ Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. ²⁰ Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, and without hypocrisy.

¹ I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. ² Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away; and every branch that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit. ³ Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you. ⁴ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit; for apart from me ye can do nothing. ⁶ If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered, and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you. ⁸ Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and so shall ye be my disciples. ⁹ Even as the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you; abide ye in my love. ¹⁰ If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. ¹¹ These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy shall abide in you, and that your joy may be made full. ¹² This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you. ¹⁵ No longer do I call you servants, for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from my Father, I have made known unto you. ¹⁶ Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. ¹⁷ These things I command you, that ye may love one another.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ meekness, self-control, against such there is no law.
