John 7:53-8:11

53 And they went every man unto his own house:

John 8:1-11

1 but Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him, and he sat down, and taught them. 3 And the scribes and the Pharisees bring unto him a woman taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst, 4 they say unto him, Teacher, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now in our law Moses commanded to stone such; what then sayest thou of her? 6 And this they said, trying him, that they might have an accusation against him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7 But when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground. 9 And they, when they heard it, being convicted by the conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the eldest, even unto the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman being in the midst. 10 And when Jesus lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? did no man condemn thee? 11 And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I condemn thee; go thy way, from henceforth sin no more.

Hebrews 11:6

6 and without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.

Matthew 7:1
