⁸ He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found; yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

¹² Now a word was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a whisper thereof. ¹³ In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men, ¹⁴ Fear came upon me, and trembling, and all my bones were made to shake. ¹⁵ Then a spirit passed before my face, that made the hair of my flesh to stand up. ¹⁶ It stood still, but I could not discern the appearance thereof; a form was before mine eyes; I heard a still voice: ¹⁷ 'Shall mortal man be just before God? Shall a man be pure before his Maker? ¹⁸ Behold, He putteth no trust in His servants, and His angels He chargeth with folly; ¹⁹ How much more them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth! ²⁰ Betwixt morning and evening they are shattered; they perish for ever without any regarding it. ²¹ Is not their tent-cord plucked up within them? They die, and that without wisdom.'

⁷ (5:6) For through the multitude of dreams and vanities there are also many words; but fear thou God.

² For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and the dreams speak falsely, they comfort in vain; therefore they go their way like sheep, they are afflicted, because there is no shepherd.

²⁸ (3:1) And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions;

²⁸ The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath My word; let him speak My word faithfully. What hath the straw to do with the wheat? saith the LORD.

¹⁷ And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of My Spirit upon all flesh; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

³ (5:2) For a dream cometh through a multitude of business; and a fool's voice through a multitude of words.
