⁵³ And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters whom the LORD thy God hath given thee; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall straiten thee.

¹⁶ Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the borders thereof, from Tirzah; because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

¹³ For Thou hast made my reins; Thou hast knit me together in my mother's womb.

¹⁴ And thou shalt have joy and gladness, and many shall rejoice at his birth.

³ Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward. ⁴ As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of one's youth. ⁵ Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them; they shall not be put to shame, when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

⁵ Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.
