¹ Therefore having been justified by faith, let us have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous that he may forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

³ Jesus responded and said to him, Truly, truly, I say unto thee, unless any one may be born from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.

⁴ Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death: in order that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so must we also walk in newness of life.

¹⁷ Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

³⁸ And Peter said to them, Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ Because Christ indeed once died for our sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, indeed being put to death in the flesh, but quickened in spirit: ¹⁹ by which also having gone he proclaimed to the spirits in prison; ²⁰ who at one time were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, the ark being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls were saved through the water. ²¹ Which antitype baptism does even now save you, not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the seeking after a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ: ²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone up into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being subordinated unto him.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that every one believing on Him may not perish but have eternal life.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say unto you, that every one hearing my word, and believing on Him that sent me hath eternal life, and doth not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

⁹ That if you may confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and may believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved: ¹⁰ for with the heart it is believed unto righteousness; and with the mouth it is confessed unto salvation.

²³ For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,

³¹ And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou and thy household shall be saved.

⁸ For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: ⁹ not of works, in order that no one may boast:
