⁸ Let not this booke of the Law depart out of thy mouth, but meditate therin day and night, that thou mayest obserue and doe according to all that is written therein: for then shalt thou make thy way prosperous, and then shalt thou haue good successe.

¹⁵ I will meditate in thy precepts, and consider thy waies.

⁵ Let the same minde be in you that was euen in Christ Iesus,

¹⁷ Therefore if any man be in Christ, let him be a newe creature. Olde things are passed away: beholde, all things are become newe.

¹⁸ There is no feare in loue, but perfect loue casteth out feare: for feare hath painefulnesse: and he that feareth, is not perfect in loue.

⁸ Be sober, and watch: for your aduersarie the deuil as a roaring lyon walketh about, seeking whom he may deuoure:

⁶ Be nothing carefull, but in all thinges let your requestes be shewed vnto God in praier, and supplication with giuing of thankes. ⁷ And the peace of God which passeth all vnderstanding, shall preserue your heartes and mindes in Christ Iesus. ⁸ Furthermore, brethre, whatsoeuer things are true, whatsoeuer things are honest, whatsoeuer thinges are iust, whatsoeuer thinges are pure, whatsoeuer thinges are worthie loue, whatsoeuer things are of good report, if there be any vertue, or if there be any praise, thinke on these things,

³ By an assured purpose wilt thou preserue perfite peace, because they trusted in thee.

⁸ Beware lest there be any man that spoile you through philosophie, and vaine deceit, through the traditions of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

⁵ Casting downe the imaginations, and euery high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captiuitie euery thought to the obedience of Christ,

⁷ For God hath not giuen to vs the Spirite of feare, but of power, and of loue, and of a sound minde.

² Set your affections on things which are aboue, and not on things which are on the earth.

¹ I Beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that yee giue vp your bodies a liuing sacrifice, holy, acceptable vnto God, which is your reasonable seruing of God. ² And fashion not your selues like vnto this worlde, but bee yee changed by the renewing of your minde, that ye may prooue what that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God is.

⁵ For they that are after the flesh, sauour the things of the flesh: but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. ⁶ For the wisedome of the flesh is death: but the wisedome of the Spirit is life and peace,
