² And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron: and the whole assemblie said vnto them, Would God we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wildernesse: would God we were dead.

²⁷ How long shall I suffer this wicked multitude to murmure against me? I haue heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmure against me.

⁸ Neither let vs commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and fell in one day three and twentie thousand. ⁹ Neither let vs tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted him, and were destroyed of serpents. ¹⁰ Neither murmure ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. ¹¹ Nowe all these things came vnto them for ensamples, and were written to admonish vs, vpon whome the endes of the world are come.

⁷ And in the morning ye shall see the glorie of the Lord: for he hath heard your grudgings against the Lord: and what are we that ye haue murmured against vs? ⁸ Againe Moses sayd, At euen shall the Lord giue you flesh to eate, and in the morning your fil of bread: for the Lord hath heard your murmurings, which ye murmure against him: for what are we? your murmurings are not against vs, but against the Lord.

¹⁴ Do all things without murmuring and reasonings, ¹⁵ That ye may be blamelesse, and pure, and the sonnes of God without rebuke in the middes of a naughtie and crooked nation, among whom yee shine as lights in the world, ¹⁶ Holding forth the worde of life, that I may reioyce in the day of Christ, that I haue not runne in vaine, neither haue laboured in vaine.
