²⁶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

¹ But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I disdained to set with the dogs of my flock.

⁶ Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

²⁷ These wait all upon thee, that thou mayest give them their meat in due season. ²⁸ That thou givest unto them they gather; thou openest thine hand, they are satisfied with good. ²⁹ Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath they die, and return to their dust. ³⁰ Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the ground.

⁵ Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, is in the heavens; thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the skies. ⁶ Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

¹⁸ And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. ¹⁹ And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto the man to see what he would call them: and whatsoever the man called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

²⁴ And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind: and it was so. ²⁵ And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good.

¹ And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor. ² The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds: ³ but the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own morsel, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter. ⁴ And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him, but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him. ⁵ And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this is worthy to die: ⁶ and he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

⁶ And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

⁹ The LORD is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works. ¹⁰ All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

⁶ Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

²⁵ He giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.

⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? and not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God.

¹⁰ A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
