⁷ Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons, or his head with fish spears?

²⁴ And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay the half-shekel? ²⁵ He saith, Yea. And when he came into the house, Jesus spake first to him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive toll or tribute? from their sons, or from strangers? ²⁶ And when he said, From strangers, Jesus said unto him, Therefore the sons are free. ²⁷ But, lest we cause them to stumble, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a shekel: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

⁶ And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

²⁸ And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

⁹ And it shall come to pass, that every living creature which swarmeth, in every place whither the rivers come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish: for these waters are come thither, and [the waters of the sea] shall be healed, and every thing shall live whithersoever the river cometh. ¹⁰ And it shall come to pass, that fishers shall stand by it: from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim shall be a place for the spreading of nets; their fish shall be after their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

¹⁴ Now after that John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, ¹⁵ and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel. ¹⁶ And passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea: for they were fishers. ¹⁷ And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. ¹⁸ And straightway they left the nets, and followed him. ¹⁹ And going on a little further, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets. ²⁰ And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

⁶ And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes; and their nets were breaking;

⁴ And when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. ⁵ And Simon answered and said, Master, we toiled all night, and took nothing: but at thy word I will let down the nets. ⁶ And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes; and their nets were breaking;

³ Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and entered into the boat; and that night they took nothing.

⁴⁷ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

¹⁹ And he saith unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men.
