¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, ²⁰ idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, ²¹ envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; which I denounce, as I have also told you in time past that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

⁵ For this ye know, that no fornicator nor unclean person nor covetous man, who is also an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

¹⁴ But be clothed with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not listen to the flesh, to fulfil its desires.

³ For the will of God is your sanctification, that ye should separate yourselves from fornication, ⁴ that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honesty, ⁵ not with affection of lust, as the Gentiles who do not know God, ⁶ that no one oppress and defraud his brother in any matter because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. ⁷ For God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto sanctification. ⁸ He therefore that despises us, does not despise man, but God, who has also given unto us his Holy Spirit.

⁵ ¶ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil lust, and covetousness, which is idolatry;

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, exercise yourselves in these things.

¹⁸ ¶ Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience in all things desiring to conduct ourselves well.

¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Any other sin that a man does is outside the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

³ For the will of God is your sanctification, that ye should separate yourselves from fornication, ⁴ that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honesty, ⁵ not with affection of lust, as the Gentiles who do not know God,

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁴ Let marriage be honourable in all and the bed undefiled; but the fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

¹² Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

⁹ ¶ BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way? when he shall keep thy word.

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
