⁷ If thou doest good, it shall certainly be accepted; and if thou doest not good, sin lies at the door. And his desire shall be unto thee, but thou must rule over him.

⁴ Then enter in and shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons and pour out into all those vessels, and as each one is full, set it aside.

³ In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the LORD and repaired them.

³ Set a watch, O LORD, upon my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

¹⁹ But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors and brought them forth and said,

³ praying also together for us that God would open unto us the door of the word, to speak the mystery of the Christ, for which I am also in bonds,

²² And the key of the house of David I will lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open.

¹⁵ And I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she shall sing there as in the days of her youth and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

⁹ For a great and effectual door is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

⁹ Complain not one against another, brethren, that ye not be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.

¹ ¶ After these things I looked, and, behold, an open door in heaven, and the first voice which I heard, was like a trumpet that spoke with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show thee the things that need to be done after these.

³⁴ Blessed is the man that hears me, keeping vigil at my gates, waiting at the threshold of my doors.

⁷ ¶ Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

⁶ But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy chamber, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father who sees in secret shall reward thee openly.

¹ ¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. ² But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. ³ To him the porter opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. ⁴ And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. ⁵ And they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. ⁶ Jesus spoke this parable unto them, but they did not understand what it was that he spoke unto them. ⁷ Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM the door of the sheep. ⁸ All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. ⁹ I AM the door; whosoever enters in by me shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture. ¹⁰ The thief comes not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy the sheep; I am come that they might have life and that they might have it in abundance. ¹¹ I AM the good shepherd; the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. ¹² But the hireling, who is not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches them and scatters the sheep. ¹³ The hireling flees because he is a hireling, and the sheep do not belong to him. ¹⁴ I AM the good shepherd, and know my sheep and am known of mine. ¹⁵ As the Father knows me, even so I know the Father, and I lay down my soul for the sheep. ¹⁶ And I have other sheep which are not of this fold; it is expedient that I bring them also, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd. ¹⁷ Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my soul that I might take it again. ¹⁸ No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment I have received of my Father. ¹⁹ ¶ There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these words. ²⁰ And many of them said, He has a demon and is beside himself; why do ye hear him? ²¹ Others said, These are not the words of him that has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind? ²² ¶ And they celebrated the dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. ²³ And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch. ²⁴ Then the Jews came round about him and said unto him, Until when wilt thou hold our soul in suspense? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly. ²⁵ Jesus answered them, I have told you, and ye do not believe; the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. ²⁶ But ye believe not because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. ²⁷ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; ²⁸ and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. ³⁰ I and my Father are one. ³¹ Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. ³² Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? ³³ The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we do not stone thee, but for blasphemy; and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God. ³⁴ Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? ³⁵ If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), ³⁶ do ye say of him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God? ³⁷ If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me. ³⁸ But if I do, though ye do not believe me, believe the works that ye may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in him. ³⁹ ¶ Therefore they sought again to take him, but he escaped out of their hand ⁴⁰ and went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized, and there he abode. ⁴¹ And many came unto him and said, John certainly did no sign, but all the things that John spoke of this man were true. ⁴² And many believed in him there.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and call; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will sup with him, and he with me.

⁷ ¶ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you;

⁸ I know thy works; behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no one can shut it, for thou hast a little strength and hast kept my word and hast not denied my name.
