³² and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the charity of Christ? shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? ³⁶ (As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.) ³⁷ Nevertheless, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. ³⁸ Therefore I am certain that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come ³⁹ nor height nor depth nor any creature shall be able to separate us from the charity of God, which is in Christ, Jesus our Lord.

¹² Not as though I had already attained it, either were already perfect, but I follow after, if I may lay hold of that for which I have also been laid hold of by the Christ, Jesus. ¹³ Brethren, I do not reckon to have laid hold of it yet, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and extending myself unto those things which are ahead, ¹⁴ I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹ ¶ Therefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, leaving behind all the weight of the sin which surrounds us, let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

¹⁶ And Ruth said, Do not intreat me to leave thee or to return from following after thee, for wherever thou goest, I will go; and wherever thou shalt lodge, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people and thy God my God. ¹⁷ Where thou diest, I will die, and there will I be buried; let the LORD do so unto me and let him give unto me that only death shall part thee and me. ¹⁸ When she saw that she was courageous to go with her, then she left off speaking to her.

¹ ¶ Therefore, I beseech you brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies in living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing unto God, which is your rational worship. ² And be not conformed to this age, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your soul that ye may experience what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁴ For the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction that we, through patient endurance and through the comfort of the scriptures, might have hope.

¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think concerning you, said the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you the end that you wait for.

⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith;

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

²⁴ ¶ Know ye not that those who run in a race indeed all run, but one receives the prize? So run, that ye may obtain it. ²⁵ And every man that strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we, an incorruptible one. ²⁶ I therefore so run, not as unto an uncertain thing; so I fight, not as one that beats the air; ²⁷ but I keep my body under, and bring it into subjection, lest preaching to others, I myself should become reprobate.
