²⁵ ¶ If thou should lend money to my people, to the poor who is with thee, thou shalt not be to him as a usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury. ²⁶ If thou at all take thy neighbour’s clothing as a pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him before the sun goes down; ²⁷ for only that is his covering, it is his clothing to cover his flesh, in which he must sleep; and it shall come to pass, when he cries unto me, that I will hear, for I am merciful.

¹² The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven, to give the rain unto thy land in its season and to bless all the work of thine hand. And thou shalt lend unto many Gentiles, and thou shalt not borrow.

²⁰ ¶ There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spends it up.

³³ But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

¹⁰ He that is faithful with little is faithful also with much, and he that is unjust with little is unjust also with much.

¹³ No temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

²² ¶ A good man shall leave an inheritance to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

²⁶ ¶ Be not thou one of them that strike hands or of them that are sureties for debts.

²⁴ No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and riches.

¹¹ If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true?

⁶ Be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. ⁷ And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

⁸ But if any provide not for his own and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

²⁸ For which of you intending to build a tower does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has sufficient to finish it?

²¹ ¶ Lamed The wicked borrows and does not repay: but the righteous shows mercy and gives.

⁸ Owe no one anything, but love one unto another; for he that loves his neighbour has fulfilled the law.

⁷ ¶ Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

⁷ ¶ The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
