Ezekiel 18:20-21

20 The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him who is righteous, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him who is wicked. 21 ¶ But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed and keep all my statutes and live according to judgment and righteousness, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Matthew 18:3

3 and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

11 in him in whom likewise we have obtained an inheritance, having had the way marked out beforehand according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will,

Ephesians 2:8-10

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared that we should walk in them.

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and the ear to hear by the word of God.

Romans 8:29-30

29 ¶ For unto those whom he knew beforehand, he also marked out beforehand the way that they might be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 And unto those whom he did mark out beforehand the way, to these he also called; and to whom he called, these he also justified; and to whom he justified, these he also glorified.

Ephesians 1:4

4 according as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in charity;

Romans 9:13-14

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14 ¶ What shall we say then? Is there injustice in God? No, in no wise.

Deuteronomy 30:11-20

11 ¶ For this commandment which I command thee today is not hidden unto thee, neither is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that thou should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven and take it for us and recite it unto us, that we may fulfil it? 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou should say, Who shall go over the sea for us and take it for us and recite it unto us, that we may fulfil it? 14 But the word is very near unto thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart that thou may fulfil it. 15 ¶ See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 for I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his rights, that thou may live and be multiplied; and may the LORD thy God bless thee in the land into which thou dost enter to inherit it. 17 But if thine heart turns away so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare unto you this day that ye shall surely perish and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, to go unto which thou passest the Jordan to inherit it. 19 I call the heavens and the earth to witness today against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life that both thou and thy seed may live, 20 that thou may love the LORD thy God and that thou may hear his voice and that thou may cleave unto him; for he is thy life and the length of thy days that thou may dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob, to give them.

Romans 8:29

29 ¶ For unto those whom he knew beforehand, he also marked out beforehand the way that they might be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 10:5-13

5 For Moses describes the righteousness which is by the law, That the man who does those things shall live by them. 6 But thus saith the righteousness which is by faith, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven (that is, to bring the Christ down from above)? 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep (that is, to bring up the Christ again from the dead)? 8 But what does it say? The word is near thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach, 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto saving health. 11 For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed. 12 ¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 9:16

16 So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that has mercy.
