RUTH AND NOOMIY
And so be it, in the days the judges judge, a famine is in the land. And a man of Beth Lechem Yah Hudah goes to sojourn in the fields of Moab; he and his woman and his two sons. ² And the name of the man, Eli Melech and the name of his woman, Noomiy and the name of his two sons, Machlon and Kilyon - Ephrathiym of Beth Lechem Yah Hudah. And they come into the fields of Moab and continue there. ³ And Eli Melech, the man of Noomiy dies; and she and her two sons survive. ⁴ And they birth women of Moab; the name of the one, Orpah and the name of the second, Ruth; and they settle there about ten years. ⁵ And both Machlon and Kilyon also die; and the woman survives her two children and her man. ⁶ And she rises with her daughters in law, to return from the fields of Moab: for she heard that Yah Veh visits his people in the fields of Moab in giving them bread. ⁷ So she goes with her two daughters in law from the place she was; and they go on the way to return to the land of Yah Hudah. ⁸ And Noomiy says to her two daughters in law, Go, each woman, return to the house of your mother; Yah Veh work mercy with you, as you worked with the dead and with me. ⁹ Yah Veh give you to find rest, each woman in the house of her man. - and she kisses them. And they lift their voice and weep ¹⁰ and say to her, Surely we return with you to your people. ¹¹ And Noomiy says, Turn back, my daughters! Why go with me? Are there yet sons in my inwards to be your men? ¹² Turn back, my daughters! Go! For I am too old to have a man. If I say, I have hope, and even have a man tonight and even birth sons ¹³ - await you them until they be grown? - ban yourselves from having men? No, my daughters; for it embitters me mightily for your sakes that the hand of Yah Veh goes against me. ¹⁴ And they lift their voice and weep again; and Orpah kisses her mother in law; and Ruth adheres to her; ¹⁵ and says, Behold, your sister in law returns to her people and to her elohim; you return after your sister in law. ¹⁶ And Ruth says, Intercede not that I leave you, or return from following after you; for where you go, I go; and where you stay overnight, I stay overnight; your people are my people and your Elohim, my Elohim; ¹⁷ where you die, I die and there I entomb; Yah Veh work to me and add also, if aught but death separate you and me. ¹⁸ And she sees that she strengthens herself to go with her; and she ceases wording to her. ¹⁹ And the two go until they come to Beth Lechem. And so be it, they come to Beth Lechem, and the whole city quakes about them and they say, Is this Noomiy? ²⁰ And she says to them, Call me not Noomiy/Pleasant; call me Bitter; for Shadday has mightily embittered me. ²¹ I go out full and Yah Veh turns me back. Why call me Noomiy, seeing Yah Veh answers against me and Shadday vilifies me? ²² And Noomiy returns with her daughter in law, Ruth the Moabiyth who return from the fields of Moab; and they come to Beth Lechem in the beginning of barley harvest.

⁹ you send widows away empty and crush the arms of the orphan.

¹³ The blessing of him who was ready to destruct came on me; and I caused the heart of the widow to shout.

¹⁷ learn to well-please; seek judgment; blithe the oppressed; judge the orphan; plead for the widow.

² to pervert the poor from pleading their cause; and strip the judgment from the humble of my people - that widows be their spoil and to plunder the orphan!

¹¹ Leave your orphans, I enliven them; - and your widows. Trust me!

³⁷ and she is a widow of about eighty-four years who departs not from the priestal precinct, but liturgizes Elohim with fastings and petitions night and day.

THE OFFERING OF THE WIDOW
And Yah Shua sits in front of the treasury and observes how the multitude casts copper into the treasury - and many rich cast in much: ⁴² and a poor widow comes and puts in two leptons - being a quarter. ⁴³ And he calls his disciples to him, and words to them, Amen! I word to you, That this poor widow casts in much more than they all cast into the treasury: ⁴⁴ for they all cast in from their surplus; but she from her lack casts in all - as much as she has - even all her subsistence.

³⁶ And there is Hannah, a prophetess the daughter of Peni El of the scion of Asher - she is advanced in many days: who lived with a man seven years from her virginity;

³⁹ The woman is bound by the torah as long time as her man lives; but whenever her man sleeps, she is liberated to marry whom she so wills - only in Adonay.

³ So whenever, while her man lives she becomes to another man, she is oracled as an adulteress: and whenever her man dies, she is liberated from that torah; so that she is no adulteress, though she becomes to another man.

⁹ and if they cannot control themselves, have them marry: for it is better to marry than be fiery.

²⁷ Pure and unpolluted ceremony with Elohim and the Father is this: To scope out the orphans and widows in their tribulation and to guard himself unstained from the cosmos.

²⁵ Yah Veh uproots the house of the pompous; and he stations the border of the widow.

¹⁰ and oppress not widow and orphan, sojourner and humble; and no man of you fabricate evil against his brother in your heart. ¹¹
YAH SHUA RAISES THE SON OF A WIDOW
And so be it, next he goes to a city called Nain; and enough of his disciples and a vast multitude go with him: ¹² and he approaches the gate of the city, and behold, a dead man being carried out - the only birthed son of his mother; and she is a widow: and a sufficient multitude of the city is with her. ¹³ And Adonay sees her, and has a sympathetic spleen on her, and says to her, Weep not! ¹⁴ - and he comes and touches the coffin and they who bear him stand. And he says, Youth, I word to you, Rise! ¹⁵ - and the dead sits, and begins to speak: and he gives him to his mother.

⁹ Yah Veh guards the sojourners; he restores the orphan and widow; and twists the way of the wicked.

⁴⁷ who devour houses of widows and for a pretext make far out prayers: these take more superabundant judgment.

⁸ And if anyone provides not for his own and specially for those of his own house, he denies the trust and is worse than the trustless.

¹⁶ If any trustworthy ^* or trustworthy ^** have widows, relieve them and burden not the ecclesia; that it relieve them who are widows indeed. ^{*masculine; **feminine}

³ Honor widows who are widows indeed: ⁴ and if any widow has children or descendants, have them first learn reverence in their own house; and to give recompense to their progenitors: for that is good and acceptable in sight of Elohim. ⁵ And she who is a widow indeed, and alone, hopes in Elohim and abides in petitions and prayers night and day: ⁶ and she who luxuriates, is dead while she lives:

⁵ Father of the orphan; pleader for the widows: Elohim in his holy habitation.

²² Humble not any widow or orphan: ²³ if in humbling, you humble them and in crying, they cry to me, in hearing, I hear their cry; ²⁴ and I kindle my wrath and slaughter you with the sword; that your women become widows and your sons orphans.
