¹⁴ Thou shalt not commit adultery.

³² But he that is an adulterer, for the folly of his heart shall destroy his own soul:

⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, lust, evil concupiscence and covetousness, which is the service of idols.

¹³ Meat for the belly and the belly for the meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord: and the Lord for the body.

⁹ Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God? Do not err: Neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers: ¹⁰ Nor the effeminate nor liers with mankind nor thieves nor covetous nor drunkards nor railers nor extortioners shall possess the kingdom of God.

¹³ Let us walk honestly, as in the day: not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy. ¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ: and make not provision for the flesh in its concupiscences.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest: which are fornication, uncleanness, immodesty, luxury, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects, ²¹ Envies, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. Of the which I foretell you, as I have foretold to you, that they who do such things shall not obtain the kingdom of God.

⁷ And after many days, his mistress cast her eyes on Joseph, and said: Lie with me. ⁸ But he in no wise consenting to that wicked act said to her: Behold, my master hath delivered all things to me, and knoweth not what he hath in his own house: ⁹ Neither is there any thing which is not in my power, or that he hath not delivered to me, but thee, who art his wife; how then can I do this wicked thing, and sin against my God? ¹⁰ With such words as these day by day, both the woman was importunate with the young man, and he refused the adultery.

¹⁸ Fly fornication. Every sin that a man doth is without the body: but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. ¹⁹ Or know you not that your members are the temple of the Holy Ghost, who is in you, whom you have from God: and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you are bought with a great price. Glorify and bear God in your body.

⁵ Defraud not one another, except, perhaps, by consent, for a time, that you may give yourselves to prayer: and return together again, lest Satan tempt you for your incontinency.

²⁸ But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification: That you should abstain from fornication: ⁴ That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour, ⁵ Not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles that know not God:

¹⁸ Let thy vein be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of thy youth: ¹⁹ Let her be thy dearest hind, and most agreeable fawn: let her breasts inebriate thee at all times: be thou delighted continually with her love.

² But for fear of fornication, let every man have his own wife: and let every woman have her own husband.

²⁴ Wherefore a man shall leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be two in one flesh.

¹⁸ Fly fornication. Every sin that a man doth is without the body: but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

³ Let the husband render the debt to his wife: and the wife also in like manner to the husband. ⁴ The wife hath not power of her own body: but the husband. And in like manner the husband also hath not power of his own body: but the wife. ⁵ Defraud not one another, except, perhaps, by consent, for a time, that you may give yourselves to prayer: and return together again, lest Satan tempt you for your incontinency.

⁴ Marriage honourable in all, and the bed undefiled. For fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
