¹⁶ The man from whom the seed of copulation goeth out, shall wash all his body with water: and he shall be unclean until the evening. ¹⁷ The garment or skin that he weareth, he shall wash with water: and it shall be unclean until the evening.

¹³ Let no man, when he is tempted, say that he is tempted by God. For God is not a tempter of evils: and he tempteth no man. ¹⁴ But every man is tempted by his own concupiscence, being drawn away and allured.

²⁸ But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest: which are fornication, uncleanness, immodesty, luxury, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects, ²¹ Envies, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. Of the which I foretell you, as I have foretold to you, that they who do such things shall not obtain the kingdom of God.

¹⁸ Fly fornication. Every sin that a man doth is without the body: but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification: That you should abstain from fornication: ⁴ That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour, ⁵ Not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles that know not God:

¹⁴ But every man is tempted by his own concupiscence, being drawn away and allured. ¹⁵ Then, when concupiscence hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin. But sin, when it is completed, begetteth death.

¹¹ Dearly beloved, I beseech you, as strangers and pilgrims, to refrain yourselves from carnal desires which war against the soul,

¹³ Let no temptation take hold on you, but such as is human. And God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able: but will make also with temptation issue, that you may be able to bear it.
